I was weaned on politics matey. My Grandmother was a 'Match Girl' (Google it), and a suffragette, both my parents were also politically active and the lounge in our house served as the committee rooms of a political party and there were committee meetings once a month. When I was old enough to do so, I too became politically active, but whereas my father was a member of the Labour Party, I joined the Communist party. We used to have stand up shouting matches frequently and on occasion, in order to get some peace my Mother would push us both out into the back garden and lock the door behind us.

Like i said we all grow up in something:)...................left/right will always excist, so will politics(humannature)..........find the middle imo

Personally....if you want to put me in a box "socialist" would be it.............capitalisme/communisme dont seem to work with humannature...........current mess?

I read some marx/engels............the basic idear behind communisme is not that bad...........but not workable imo, same goes for capitalisme(longterm). Money will always be needed but it needs to be a tool, not a goal(consciousness). Current politicians and politics(left/right) cater to wrong idears/system. Equallity in standard of living(worldwide) might solve things, start thinking like a planet............how we get there, from current status quo,i have no clue:D

Short answer, imo people get to hung up in left/right(politics) bs these days(interwebz/media),that they dont see the real problems anymore.

Most every one is concerned about how what they do will benefit themselves and not what will benefit society as a whole. Politicians are the best example. What will get me reelected, what lobbyists will give me the most money?

We did change the world, but a lot of people didn't like the changes we made, so they voted for Trump. And now he's trying to change it back, but instead he's causing mass chaos. Time to change the world again!

As others have said, we did change the world in many ways. But then economic hardship hit in the 70's and it seemed that the movement fizzled out. The next thing you know the Nation elected Reagan, and he infected us with a slow moving cancer that gradually deteriorated everything, except the parasites living off the cancer---I am talking about, what he called Supply-Side economics, or what we more commonly refer to as Trickle-Down Economics. The idea is that if we give, who he referred to as, the job suppliers, (in other words, the very wealthy) all the economic benefits, in other words, if we all work hard and support the very wealthy, allow them to grab the biggest pieces of the pie and even have the people pay ever greater shares of their taxes, that their prosperity will trickle down and create more jobs and prosperity for everyone. If you wonder how well that worked, all you have to do is look at any chart of wealth and income distribution among the US population going all the way back to 1980, and it should be painfully obvious what a dismal failure it is. Our system was driven by trickle down economics that whole time, and the worst thing is that Trump put this system into hyper-drive.

There is nothing new about this suicidal path. Every empire suffers from it. The Bourbon dynasty in France, at the peak of French cultural achievements and influence, struggled with the same problem---King Louis XIVth created this aristocracy at Versailles that probably defined the empirical wealth class for all the modern age henceforth (including our own 1%), but he struggled, often at the collapse of the country, to get them to pay for their extravagant use of the Nation's wealth. This problem plagued Louis XVth, whose reign influenced the rise of liberalism of the Enlightenment. (For example, his mistress Madame Pompadour was a major patron of such philosophers as Rousseau and this certainly influenced the King and French society as a whole, outside of the court aristocracy). But the main source of economic problems during his reign was the conflict between the nation's expenses (many of which he created) and the inability to get the wealthy parasites, i.e. the aristocracy at Versailles, to pay taxes. Then came Louis XVIth and his wife Marie Antionette, and the problem only got worse to the point where she was accused of having uttered, 'If they can't eat bread, let them eat cake.' In truth it wasn't her indifferant extravagances that was the real problem. All the Bourbon Kings and queens, including Marie Antoinette, cared about the well being of their people, which is partly why the liberal ideals of the Enlightenment had a home in Paris. But, because the court was in Versailles, they were alienated from the people, and did not understand the full impact of their struggles. So Marie Antionette was not the problem, but rather the indifferent extravagances of the wealthiest families, all who stayed at Versailles. And once again, Louis the XVIth as well struggled with trying to get this wealthy elite to pay taxes. If any one of these kings had gotten the wealthy elite to pay their taxes, and not leave it to the general population to support them, the French Revolution would very likely not have ever occurred.

But history is no excuse for what is happening in America today. Because we have the wealth of history---well recorded and deeply analyzed. We have information networks that continuously feed us what is happening in real time around the world. We have the systems to process this information and the education to make proper use of it. So we should understand exactly what is happening here. We have had the ability to watch trickle-down economics fail us in real time since 1980. All the disenfranchised and struggling masses of the US, should have understood what the problem is, and when they got fed up and said, We're not gonna take it anymore, rather than switch parties back and forth and then embrace a racist con man who is literally the poster child for all that is wrong with wealth, they should have said, 'Hey! Why am I working so hard to support a class of wealthy parasites? The system is rigged and WE have to fix it!' In other words, Americans have got to be the absolute dumbest children of the Enlightenment. Everything that has happened to create an amazing world for them has been wasted on them. And this is after the incredible sacrifice their fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers made for them in the name of freedom and democracy just a mere 75 years ago! Really------just plain STUPID!

So what is happening to the changes we made? Was the New American Revolution (as Jean Francois-Revel called it) a failure? Was it dead? I have been on HipForums for many years. And I spent most of those years preaching on here that we as a species are approaching a significant fork in our path. If we go one way on the fork, the tool that will represent our development as a species will be the quantum computer. If we go the other way, it will be a sharpened stick. Time and time again I was optimistic that we would take the path towards the quantum computer, and I listed many changes that I saw happening that were encouraging. The development of my philosophy, Archephenomenalism, for example, was my own humble contribution to taking the correct path, because regaining meaning in what seems like a meaningless world is clue to mankind moving any higher. This is because, further descent into nihilism is just mankind giving up, and accepting his demise. There were so many positive things happening. And we hippies, in the Age of Aquarius, basically set it all into motion. Even if it didn't feel like it.

There are two kinds of social and cultural change----1.) the revolutionary changes, which happens quickly and is rife with risks of failure or perversion of the ideals and intentions. The change brought about by Revolution are really only temporary. The liberalism of the French Revolution and all their lofty ideals of freedom, liberty and democracy, eventually gave way to the despotism of Napoleon! And it was through this Revolutionary change that we tired to change the world. Then there is, 2.) Evolutionary changes, which are slower and happen in the undercurrents, but they are longer lasting changes and bear more stability. We could only do so much to change the world, and evolution has to do the rest.

The evolutionary changes that came out of the New American Revolution of the 60's and 70's was, and still is taking shape. America was reaping amazing benefits from this evolution, but because of this cancer of trickle-down economics, a big portion of the nation was not able to enjoy these benefits. But nonetheless. it should have been obvious that change was happening, in the amazing strength of our economy, which even today, we continue to benefit from. This evolution was bringing about a new age of shared affluence and prosperity. It was breaking the chains of Colonialism, breaking down borders, and reflected an era where information, goods, and people could move around the world in speeds and ways that were inconceivable a century ago. It was the rise of true globalism. Not the globalism of conspiracy theories---that idea of globalism was a neoliberalist diversion to protect the wealthy---because true globalism is very liberating and represents a world of decentrallized control.

People who use the word globalist or globalism with negative connotations are, and excuse me for being blunt here, stupid Americans! The talk of a New World Order is such an idiotic 19th Century colonial idea that it upsets me that people fall for this crap. The whole conspiracy of a New World Order that will enable the very wealthy to rule the whole world is so preposterous and impossible, even if it is key to a great mythology we carry over from our past. It is the unreachable goal we have sought since the dawn of large sailing ships. It is what makes the Star Wars stories so culturally significant. And yes, this desire has created unspeakable and unfathomable pain, violence, and destruction through the history of Colonialism. Even Biblical prophesy builds on this craziness, and is probably why Christianity is so damned destructive!

But here is the thing about this globalist conspiracy today, and I don't know why I have to repeat this so much, these conspiracies only serve to divert our attention away from true globalism. They are designed to turn us away from what should be a liberating and decentralizing dynamic rising up to meet our future of a better world. The conspiracy uses narratives to demonize certain forms of power and control, wealthy families, etc, in order to protect the control and domination of wealthy families and the status quo power----and often times, to protect the very same family wealth that it seems to demonize! Because, as I have often said here in HipForums, and elsewhere, the point of a conspiracy theory is to point you away from the actual conspiracy. In this case, the wealth and power that is actually running things. They do not want you to buy into the idea of a globalized world where wealth and income are shared, and more importantly they have much less control! As borders break down, as industry and technology spread out around the world, and production becomes much more diversified, the old world order, born out of centuries of colonial power, becomes upset and threatened. Control and wealth generation is lost as the old ethnic and national structures break down to a more fractal structure, and the world becomes more deeply interconnected. And yes, this does mean that the world is no longer the dominion of White people who get to decide for everyone else---it becomes a world for all people (and if you have a problem with that, well, there is a label for you).

The thing is, America was at the center of this new globalist world. Yes, it is now past tense---we WERE the center. We WERE posed to benefit immensely and be the key player in this new world of immense opportunity. China certainly understood this, and they wanted to be the center. Russia understood it as well, but they are a dying nation with a very sick economy----a massive land area with a third world level of economic production. They knew they wouldn't be the center of such a new world, and yet they defeatedly hoped they could be the center of a world that can no longer be, as much as they want it to (a Cold War era Super power). But they certainly didn't want America to be the key player in this new world, as they still strive for that lost greatness, like an old drunk stumbling around still trying to get in the bar that has closed down forever. But America had it all----we were on a path to Make the World Great! And that would have been great for us! But not the wealthy elite----so they convinced all the stupid, stupid Americans to just Make America Great Again, and convinced them that the greatest and strongest economy in the world which was leading the greatest empire the world has ever known was somehow failing, and so we had to think America First! (And of course, what they failed to say was that the control of the economy (trickle-down economics) by these very people in power was what made the lives so bad for so many Americans! And they wanted more control, power, and wealth! Seriously, this is why, for example, America is the only First World nation that does not have universal health care!)

The last election was our chance to move away from trickle-down economics. Unfortunately the Democrats were not smart enough to get that message out there, or maybe they just assumed Americans were too dumb to understand. Instead, we got the felonious pedophile rich guy that made no secret of his plans to destroy our economy, democracy, freedom, and our civil rights in order to benefit the very wealthy. The world will probably move on without the US, and Europe, China, Japan, and other nations are working to continue this path without the US, and they may find in decades to come this new globalist world of shared affluence and prosperity, where the quantum computer becomes the technology that symbolizes our development as a species. And let me add, this new world does reflect our emerging cosmology. Let me explain---in the 20th century, we understood the world around us, from the relativistic perspective Einstein gave us. This was an evolution from the Newtonian world view we gained from the Empiricists----a mechanical world of dualism. So in the 20th century we began to understand the world in a relativistic nature which broke down the norms, and gave rise to such things as the hippie movement. Now we are moving into a multiplistic world---a world of quantum realities, where structures become more like fractals, and superpositioned wave/particles. And as the world finds its way through the amazing possibilities of this new world view, know that we hippies played a key role in changing the world towards this. But not in America---Trump is taking us back to the dualistic mechanical world of the empiricists.

    Goddamn! Americans are stupid!!!
