Should I continue the relationship

I recently met a new dom online. And he told me to put in a but plug and nipple clamps on. When our session ended he said I couldn't take them off until he said. That was at 11am yesterday. I thought he would get back to me before bed but never did. It doesn't feel right to take them off without his permission. But I don't think I can keep them on any longer.
Was he right to just leave me like this or should he have got back to me before hand.
