When you want a hookup on the road, what is the best way to do it? I live in a large city and want to know the best ways to put myself out there. I am a newbie. I don't live in a big city, but I live in Niagara Falls Canada, which, though a destination for a million couples or families every year, is also a destination for conventions attended by countless business men. Fuck, I only live a 10 minute walk from all the huge hotels, and I've never taken advantage of it. How to take advantage of it?

you have the right idea.. upscale hotel lounge.. dress nicely, but do not 'overdress'.. find a booth where there's enough light to announce you're alone,.. order your favorite beverage.. read something funny.. smile.. periodically, look around.. if there's someone interested, your eyes will meet.. hold the gaze for a few seconds while smiling, then look at the almost-empty empty booth you're sitting in.. keep reading and chuckling to yourself.. if there's a traveler who likes guys (there generally is) he'll likely find you.. he just needs to make the move.. the smiling while looking at your phone conveys non-threatening self-assuredness.. after a while - if he hasn't walked over but still looks your way now and then - walk to the bar and ask bartender "what do people do for fun in this town?" say it just barely loud enough that the other lone guy can hear.. then get another drink and sit down at booth again.. it's hit or miss.. just don't appear threatening and you might find yourself approached.. best of luck.. every traveler in there is looking for fun, whether it's MM or MF.. you can't control which way they swing, but you can be the guy they want... if they want a guy.. when I was young - in my 20s - it worked for me.. male or female.. there's a LOT of horny 30-45 yo business travelers & locals (men and women.. single and married) in upscale hotels (near airports can be productive!)
