FEBRUARY'S FULL MOON UPON IMBOLC The February Full Moon rises as the wheel turns to Imbolc on February 1st. It's commonly known by the Native American name as the Snow Moon. A title given by ancient Celts has a similar cold theme with it being the Moon of Ice. Anglo Saxons referred to it as Solonanth and the Norse Sanmanudur. Across large parts of Africa its name is the Dassie Moon. In the Branch of Cosmic Spirituality we asked members to name the different full moons of the year. A large number were obviously influenced by Valentine's Day falling in February, blessing it with the title of Love Moon. Well I gotta say, the world sure needs a lotta love at this moment so let's pray this new title delivers it! Blessed Be for that. Rosalin, my better half and co-founder of The Branch been mighty busy responding to her free Full Moon Blessing Requests which she does every month. I have a special Imbolc and Full Moon ritual all ready for The Branch website this weekend, which I'll also try and share here. Whatever name you give this Full Moon and whichever path you follow, may your intentions and blessings be received, the moon water you make be energised and your crystals and magical tools be charged. Love, Peace, Respect & Blessed Be
Every full moon there's a "little" party going on, on a beach on Koh phangan in Thailand. Locals and visitors seem to enjoy it.
Sounds a great time. I have attended a Shamanic drumming event on the beach at Full Moon. It was truly magical.
I'll be sure to bask in the light of the full moon and watch it reflect off all the snow I have here. Maybe try to let go of all the pain from my fall yesterday
Hey, real sorry about your fall. Sending you healing blessings and hope the moon shines brightly on that snow.
Thank you. I feel the same, always have. One of my fondest childhood memories was just staring out my window at night watching the light sparkle when it reflected off the snow. Of course I would always get yelled at to close the window but it was worth it. And thanks
