The usual response by Trump is to file an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court where the six conservatives usually give Trump the benefit of doubt for months or more in spite of the injury inflicted onto the public by his fringe stunts.
Jimmy Kimmel showed a video of Stephen Miller when he was in high school. He was a podium address a crowd and whining about having to pick up litter that he said a janitor is supposed to be doing. He refused to turn over the mic to the next speaker and was escorted away from the mic.
Kimmel Humiliates ‘Virgin’ Stephen Miller With Yearbook Pics excerpt: Kimmel showed a clip of young Miller saying that he was “sick and tired” of cleaning up his trash when the school had “plenty of janitors” to pick it up for him. “What a lovely young man, huh?” Kimmel said. “Even for 2002, that was apparently too much, and so then when they tried to bring up the next speaker, all of a sudden, it was OK to resist the authorities.” Kimmel showed a clip of young Miller being forced off stage. Kimmel joked afterward, “They marched him straight to the White House.” “See, he’s always been like this,” Kimmel said. “And you can read all about it in his new memoir, Born a Douche.“
Trump announces US land strikes on drug cartels in Mexico and chillingly declares his 'own morality' is the only limit on his unchecked global power after Maduro capture | Daily Mail Online excerpt: The president said he'll 'say hello to her' next week after refusing to allow her power in the transition away from Maduro and addressed her desire to give him her Nobel Peace Prize in an interview with Hannity earlier this week. The president suggested he'd be honored but that he ought to get as many as eight Nobel Prizes. 'It would be a great honor. I did put out eight wars, eight and a quarter because Thailand and Cambodia started going at each other again,' he said.
Trump said he would stop Putin's war on Ukraine in 24 hours. Now he has the U.S. embroiled in the Venezuela saga that he says will last years.
Trump is attacking the country like he attacked Congress and Pence on Jan. 6. Trump runs the DOJ (Bondi), DHS (Noem), and FBI (Patel). He has six conservatives on the Supreme Court who, for the most part, have given him what he desires. The GOP in Congress still hasn't gone up against him significantly. It leaves few options for the public, their mayors, and governors to protect themselves from Trump. Governors have their own National Guard but Trump is trying to gain control of them. Federal judges have placed some restraint on Trump. The public voting the GOP out of House control in 2026 would put limited brakes on Trump during the final two years of his term.
Governors are faced with the prospect of deploying their own National Guard to protect themselves from Trump who wants to commandeer their National Guard to protect his agents who are causing unrest by using heavy-handed tactics to arrest anyone they perceive as possibly being in the country illegally, a gang member, domestic terrorist, or some other alibi. It's a mish-mash of various military and police forces not knowing whose forces are in charge and what exactly they are supposed to be doing (National Guard under Trump's control protecting Trump's agents while National Guard under a governor's control protecting the public from Trump who could be using the National Guard from another state). Plus the issue of state and local police and how they relate to Trump's use of federal agents and the National Guard against states and localities. It's a ripe situation for shooting tragedies.
Man fleeing immigration agents is fatally struck by a vehicle on a Virginia highway excerpt: "A 24-year-old Honduran man who was fleeing federal immigration agents in Virginia died on a highway after being struck by a vehicle. The death of Josué Castro Rivera follows recent incidents in which three other immigrants in Chicago and California were killed during immigration enforcement operations under the Trump administration’s crackdown. Castro Rivera was headed to a gardening job Thursday when his vehicle was pulled over by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, brother Henry Castro said. Agents tried to detain Castro Rivera and the three other passengers, and he fled on foot, tried to cross Interstate 264 in Norfolk and was fatally struck, according to state and federal authorities."
Trump's people had to drop their case against someone they shot five times because their narrative didn't match the facts. SUV involved in deadly ICE shooting Wednesday in Minneapolis was registered out of KCMO excerpt: "Chicago experienced a similar incident during immigration crackdown In October, a Chicago woman was shot five times by a Border Patrol agent in a similar incident involving a vehicle, though she survived. Almost immediately, Homeland Security officials issued a statement labeling Marimar Martinez, a 30-year-old teaching assistant at a Montessori school, as a “domestic terrorist” who had “ambushed” and “rammed” agents with her vehicle. She was charged in federal court with assaulting a federal officer, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. But federal prosecutors were later forced to dismiss the case against Martinez before trial after security camera video and bodycam footage emerged that her defense lawyers said undermined the official narrative."
ICE agent who shot woman in Chicago drove Border Patrol vehicle 1,100 miles back to Maine excerpt: Parente says body cam footage shows the ICE agent aiming his assault rifle and shouting, "Do something, b---h," moments before opening fire. Parente is demanding "all texts and communications from the ICE agent who fired be preserved,” that "any repairs, inspections or even car washes performed on the SUV be documented" and that "all ICE and Homeland Security communications in this case, including emails, texts, notes and internal documents, be retained."
ICE agent who shot woman in Chicago drove Border Patrol vehicle 1,100 miles back to Maine excerpt: "PORTLAND (WGME) -- An unnamed ICE agent, who shot and injured a woman in Chicago, is now back in Maine after driving the Border Patrol vehicle he was in 1,100 miles. The vehicle was allegedly rammed by the woman prior to the shooting. Now, a federal judge has demanded federal prosecutors bring the ICE agent back to Chicago as soon as possible. The Chicago defense attorney representing the woman who was shot five times by an ICE agent and another man charged in the case says he has concerns about potential evidence mishandling. He is asking not only that the ICE agent be returned to Chicago, but the vehicle as well."

How dare members of Congress exhibit even a minimal show that they have some power to limit Trump. They're supposed to be bowing to the 'morality' of Trump. This week Trump said that his morality is the only thing that can stop him and that international laws aren't needed.
