check out adaware .... I don't have the website on me right now... but if you go to any search engine, type in adaware personal edition and you should get a hit also if you go to download.com you might want to check out spybot - search and destroy if you aren't an experienced user, go for the first one... its quite good... the only problem with the second one is that it continues to prompt you whenever the registry is updated (normal action but can be scary if someone isn't familiar with the registry... WARNING CHANGES ARE GOING TO BE MADE TO THE REGISTRY WHICH MAY POTENTIALLY BE IRREVERSIBLE and similar messages tend to get annoying)
use adaware....its the best it really is But! Dont use spybot search and destroy...as it is accually spywear itself, it removes the other spywear and puts its own on...it destroyed my computer practically...
The program that you instal does it all.. It searches for it all then you quarantine it or something.. I dunno
We've got Ad-Aware SE Personal (the latest version from Adaware). It finds and removes spyware and adware, and does it without requiring any great knowledge on the part of the user. Make sure you choose the free one to download from the site. You'll be astounded how many nasties it finds the first time round, and it regularly finds 30-40 dodgy files even if you run it every couple of days. You need a separate virus checker, though.
A good anti-virus program is AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition, which you can download by going to www.grisoft.com
I've been using Avast! Antivirus along with Ad-Aware, Mozilla Firefox and Sygate Firewall, and rarely have virus problems.
it's not spyware... it just comes up as spyware on other spyware finders because it has to look around in your files to see where the spyware is...and same the other way round...
