A Kinsey (self-reported sexual attraction) scale 3 = Sexual arousal scale 3 individual:

I feel no affection for the sexual orientation labels and almost never use them in a straight environment. On the one hand, women should not be put off, on the other hand I don’t see bodies of both sexes as irreconcilable opposites but as a broad spectrum of possibilities. What could be better than leaving your cave and going on the prowl! When deciding between loneliness and boredom, the latter is more repulsive to me. Of course – if you want to be looked after and mothered by a woman, you should do so and stay at home.

These two studies show that a fine gradation of bisexuality exists and that it therefore makes sense to emphasise a fine gradation in the sexual orientation labels:

Heterosexual (Kinsey 0)
Mostly Heterosexual = Straight Plus (Kinsey 1) Largest sexual minority at least in surveys

Bisexual – More Heterosexual (Kinsey 2)
Bisexual – Bisexual (Kinsey 3) Without a clear heterosexual or homosexual preference
Bisexual – More Homosexual (Kinsey 4)

Mostly Homosexual = Gay/Lesbian Plus (Kinsey 5)
Homosexual (Kinsey 6)

It makes perfect sense that mostly heterosexual and mostly homosexual do not label themselves as bisexual in order to maintain the difference to the three more bisexual types in the centre.

I think every answer you guys (and girls) are giving are all valid, and I won't argue with any of them. That's because I believe what matters is how each individual identifies bisexuality, or any sexual orientation identity. It is simply very personal, despite science trying to find objective answers, which I also believe is completely valid.

I'm a man who now identifies as gay and only has sex with other men, and has had romantic crushes on a couple different men during the last couple of years, but has no interest in having sex, let alone romance, with a woman ever again--all since breaking up with my last girlfriend 6 years ago, after three years of hell with her. I still find women attractive and get aroused by their faces, breasts and asses (but not their pussies or personalities). For me personally, finding an objective answer for my sexuality and sexual orientation identity has always been important; but that's only me, and my very analytic mind, combined with my lifelong sexual identity struggles. I wish I could've been more like most of you guys.

Nowadays, I identify as gay & Kinsey 5 (mostly homosexual, as opposed to Kinsey 6, [completely] homosexual, since I am attracted to and aroused by women's faces, breast and asses (if they're small, with zero hips)), and in retrospect believe I've been transitional homosexual--gradually transitioning throughout my life from Kinsey 1 ([completely] heterosexual), through to 3 bisexual, and finally to where I am now at 5. This is why I love the Semon et al. study (the first one linked in this post I quoted). Thanks so very much for referencing it, @TwinT! I love all aspects of that 2016 study (I have a science background, so could understand and appreciate most of it), and would love to hear about followups (maybe someday I'll search for them).

I love their Arousal/Disgust chart survey portion (that @TwinT included a picture of in his post), and would've loved if they had included solo man and solo woman video clips in their PPG experiment (measurement of blood flow to the penis, i.e. penis arousal/erection levels), rather than just have MM and FF clips (which is how I understood it at least). I don't know whether some Kinsey 5 or 6 men enjoy lesbian porn partly because of the homosexuality of it, due to their loving everything homosexual, like I do, in contrast to enjoying it only because of some attraction/arousal to women (which as I wrote, I do have as well, at least to their face, breasts and ass). For example, seeing pictures of a solo woman with her legs spread, showing her vulva, disgusts me, because I now have such revulsion for the vulva (but I didn't in the past), but in FF porn I can handle it because of the homosexuality of one woman being shown licking the other woman's vulva: good for them! For me, gay rocks!
