I just made some tomato soup tonight, out of catsup, water and cream. It separated a little, and I don't think it needed the cream. I was talking to this one guy about using catsup as a vegetable. He agreed the serving size on the label, one tablespoon, is probably not enough. Closer to half a cup, he agreed. It tasted good. It's a serving of vegetables that way, they agreed on a message board I was on. (But my doctor told me fresh vegetables are preferred.) I also thought it would be easy to make in a place like an office. Just add hot water to the catsup there. I also added a little Jalapeno and black pepper. And like I said it tasted better than I thought it would.
V8 is for Gazpacho. If it's already chilled, you just chop in some cucumber, green onion and whole tomatoes. The olive oil last.
