I would totally want to go visit places that were alive during that time, and bursting at the seams with hippies...like Haight Ashbury...and just chill there...maybe hitchike cross country?

I'd go to woodstock too! I live only about 20 minutes away from Bethel where it was held....the use to mow peace signs in the grass there...now all they have is a stupid little memorial thing..but its better than nothing

Probably go with my mom's half brother who went to that. Or go out to Ann Arbor to watch my dreadlocked dad's sister being borned. :p Or even watch the rents. My dad tripping out on acid and my mother being her studious self. (or slutty, either one)

For personal benefits I'd hitchhike across the United States because back then it was safe. Now it's a rape waiting to happen. Probably even really dig out the insides of the raw music and hit up a highschool somewhere. Check it all out. And smoke some 60's weed.

Dunno, maybe i'd go to woodstock or i would go to Haights-Ashburry to see the real 60's hippies. If i could stay in the 60's more longer i would go live in a commune and experience peace and love.

Gotta tell you, hitchhiking isn't that dangerous. I've done some long trips, had some weird times and met some fucked up people, but no one i'd call purposefully dangerous.
There's just more bad propaganda about it.

I get told hitchhiking is unsafe by my dad who is very experienced in that department, back in the 70's. He turned 13 in 1970 and was a total hippy during that following decade. When he moved up here to Idaho with his parents he'd hitchhike down to Texas with a guitar and a van, plus some old bandmates he had in middle school, then would cruise around the coast and other areas smoking weed and playing with bands. :) He did that quite a few times in other states too from Idaho. Nowadays he says that hitchhiking will get someone, especially a girl, raped or killed. :p

I would rather -walk- across the country through beautiful wilderness or pass around with a concert tour. :)
