Will I be welcome here?

I've been looking for a place where I can discuss freely men's rights, the problems posed by the new anti-male feminism , and other problems such as 'political correctness' which seem to me to be attacking men's rights . I'm not sure if I'll be welcome here. If not I respect your reluctance and will look elsewhere.

I'm a 73-year-old Englishman who's lived quiet life . I've been happily married for forty years. Increasingly I see assertive moves by the new feminists to interfere with men's free speech and rights. I feel these need to be resisted. I also feel that feminism is being taken over by hard-line extreme feminists who actually hate men . I'm not an 'AndrewTate' extremist; I like women; I believe in fairness, equality and justice. But I think new feminism is making things worse and provoking the Tate-type backlash .

For now I'll leave it at that and look into some discussions . I'd be interested to see your views on whether you think this is the place for me, and if not , suggest another forum.

My answer to MeAgain's question might be better on a new thread , but for now I'll just say I've known instances of men being criticised or silenced for being allegedly 'sexist' or 'misogynist' in saying things that ,,the equivalent of which, feminists seem able to say on live Radio without being called out.

I think the 'MeToo' movement and other high-profile media incidents have allowed feminists to criticise men generally where the reverse woud not be allowed . Obviously, elaborating this claim this would require specific examples , so maybe that's best left for another thread.

Welcome to the Hipforums. Everyone is entitled to respect, but it has to be earned.

What you are saying is women are conspiring against men, somehow limiting men's freedom.

First off, there's no conspiracy, only a rising backlash against the limits on women's and everyone else who isn't a white male.

And yes, it's white men's powerful entitlement, granted them somehow through biblical references that are thousands of years old, reflecting institutional control over women's bodies and lives.

If women were truly free we wouldn't even be having this conversation. And attempts to restore the old status quo are just leading the world into a fascist Armageddon as narcissistic mysoginists wanna prove who has the biggest dicks (nukes).

Enough with the misogyny and hate on whole groups of people. Go after the institutions that promote and prolong these unholy biases.

Thanks again, I must say these comments have encouraged me to re-think my ideas on this subject.

While I agree that women generally are not conspiring against men (and I hope I didn't suggest that) I do think some extreme feminists would like to limit men's freedom. But for now I'll explore the board before expanding on that topic!

 

In many cases, extreme views are born out of insecurity.
Both Trump and Putin are good examples.
