It looks like Trump is going to give US farmers a $16 billion bailout thanks to his trade war with China. The Chinese have placed no orders for soybeans this year, while the US has harvested a record crop. China was the largest buyer of US soybeans. They're refusing to buy any due to Trump's tariffs on China, currently at 30%. So Trump is going to dip into the tariff revenue that Americans are paying, again due to the trade war. So he's defeating his own purpose with the tariffs. So Americans are once again subsidizing farmers from their own pockets, for no good reason, only Trump's vanity and billionaire tax cuts.
Trump says he's going to put 100% tariff on everything from China........ next month. Ooh boy that's insane and against every "free market" principle espoused by Republicans and conservatives for decades ... China doesn't want nor need your fucking soybeans. Farmers who voted for this criminal should shove them beans up their arses.... Trump only makes the best deals!
Actually the tariff will be higher than 100% as Trump will impose a 100% tariff on top of the current tariffs. Current tariffs are 30% so the new tariff will be 130%. Before May 6, 2025 a Barbie doll with swimsuit accessories sold for $10.49. On April 16, after Trump's first tariffs, Target sold the same doll for $14.99, a 43% increase. That $10.49 dollar Barbie doll will now cost $29.98 dollars. So those three or four dolls will only set you back $89.93 to $199.92 dollars. Such winning. BTW those thirty dolls will cost $988.40.
A report from the agriculture department notes that crop yields will be down this year, due to NO seasonal workers from Mexico and elsewhere. I guess his answer will be to just give them more money while people starve. Or should they just eat cake?
It's always socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor and middle class. The rich take care of each other, the rest struggle. The rich can buy legislators votes. The legislators know who has the money and therefore the power. Pretty sweet arrangement ---
