I have an enlarged prostate, which makes it difficult to pee. Im taking a couple of drugs, including cialsis to help alleviate the problem. Its not working. Dr. sez we do a cistoscopy to get a real view of the problem. One is scheduled. But having engaged in sounding, which is VERY stimulating, Im concerned that Ill get hard during the procedure. Thoughts?
I have no personal experience with the procedure but I do have thoughts. My first is that, if the procedure is important to have done, don't worry about it. If you get hard then you get hard. Think of it this way. I've been hard being waxed and being tested during trimix dosing. No big deal. My other thought is that it won't be the first time it has happened to the doc. Relax and get well.
My urologist, assuming that I had bladder cancer, shoved a scope through my urethra and into my bladder, no anesthetic and just said, "Breathe - you'll be okay!" I can tell you that it didn't feel good while he was inserting the scope or when he was peeking around inside my bladder. Too much discomfort to even think about getting an erection but if you think you'd get hard while they're shoving the scope in there, don't worry about it - probably nothing they haven't seen before but the more important thing is to have the procedure done.
I'll even add that my wife was holding my hand - and laughing - as I reacted to the scope going in and I'm trying to get the fuck off the table; my urologist is laughing and telling me to breathe and if I could have gotten my hands on him, I would have sent him to the ER with that scope shoved in his dick since he allowed that he'd never had this done to him. Fucker. I was not a happy camper, and I still feel traumatized by what he did and so much that I refuse to go back to s.ee him; I'll see anyone else in the practice but not him and not after he'd gotten me on the operating table, out cold, and probing around in my bladder looking for cancer that I knew wasn't there. I was pissing blood like I was having a period and passing huge blood clots was a nightmare that I do not ever want to be involved with ever again. After I recovered from that second invasion of my bladder, I go back for my follow up and the first thing he says is, "You were right - you don't have bladder cancer." My wife grabbed my hand and pulled on me to tell me not to move...
I have had a couple, and they are no fun. no way I would get hard. Too painful, especially when they got up to the prostate. I think I got my ride home and went to bed for the rest of the day.
