I am certainly glad that I live in Canada. While we have our share of trumpists, seeing the original rampaging south of the border has firmed up our patriotism and our commitment to tolerance. I wish it were easier for our American friends to escape to our beautiful country. For those wanting to check out the possibility, here is the official link: Live in Canada permanently - Canada.ca
Two of my Grandfather's sisters relocated from East Battersea, England in the 1920's to Victoria, BC. Two of my Grandfather's brothers born in England were WWI casualties in the Canadian Army at the Battle of Canal de Nord in France in September 1918, only 2 months before the end of WWI. Having lived in Arizona almost forever, I get cold at 80 deg. F or below.
My dad was Canadian, so I'm automatically a Canadian citizen. I was going to try to get a Canadian passport when I was in Mexico but COVID shut down the consulate. And yes, I prefer a warm climate year round, which you Canadians can expect in the near future. Of course you already have a warm dry climate inland in summer, hence the wildfires. Canada, from the little I've seen is a beautiful, friendly, if boring place...eh? Americans should travel more. The rest of the Western world is far more sane.
Beautiful, yes. Friendly, absolutely. Boring? Well, there are some kinds of excitement we can do without. I don't find it boring.
Well, compared to the little town I grew up in (NYC) things are a little slow. Then again living in Mexico is even slower.
