New Currently Listening To...

Acid Techno classic by "Superstar DJ" Keoki. Keoki is Hawaiian. He is a well known DJ of nineties stardom, and went big on the Moonshine record label around y2k and after. When I started listening to dance music, this song was already in his catalog by probably 10 years:

It seems to capture the enthusiasm of an era that preceded my entrance into the event scene in my region, and has thematically some things that are possibly Pride oriented, and geared toward rejecting guilt. It's rebellious and for that also a little difficult to endorse; it isn't something I would include on a playlist anywhere other than music appreciation class.

For me, dancing to it is interesting! You get to 1) keep up with it, (since it isn't slow), and 2) decide whether to evoke (with your arms or feet or whatever) along with its anti-guilt theme, or (what I chose to show) dance anyway, even though they aren't the words I would choose.

I don't like to be dismissive or unapologetic; I'm an emotional responsibility neat-freak. This is both of those!
