The Travelling Man Podcast - This is a series of songs written by Andrew Siddle having been converted from his original poems to a music/video format. Andrew Siddle has been writing poetry since 1983 and those poems suitable for conversion to song lyrics appear in this channel. The new songs are brought to life, in the studio, by using session musicians for the project. Andrew Siddle is an ex film industry stuntman, poet, and was 1980's vocalist/guitarist to the first line up of the band Ednaswap. Originally Andrew's style, and influence, was as a blues/R&B styled guitarist who improvised using musical blues scales. Andrew also knows steel string finger picking guitar styles. The Travelling Man Podcast project is dedicated to Nikola Maczynska and her relatives in Poland. Without our chats of over a month, I would not have had the motivation to complete the "Travelling Man" podcast.

Andrew was born in North West England, UK, and has lived in both Hazard, Sherman County, in Nebraska, USA, and Rabat, Morocco, in North Africa. He has sons and daughters in North America, the United Kingdom, and Sub Saharan Africa.

 

Nice variety of genres, Blues, rap, new age. Some of the more listenable original music by site members. Thanks for sharing!

I like this bluesy tune.

 

That is actually my words on top of an old 1970's riff......It's been done before but I really wanted the 70's sort of sound for this one because freedom of the road fits in with that era sort of thing! I felt that a freedom poem needed to be 1970's sort of genre
if it was going to turn into a song.

SOme modern some old style yep....Blues, rap, new age

If you take late 1960's and early 1970's hippy-dom and you re-market it in the year 2025/2026 what you come up with is New Age anyway! Because New Age is just hippy/hippie with a computer keyboard philosophy and culture. Same attitude problem and same thoughts! lol
That old track Aquarius, from the film Hair, is an example. It is pure hippy; but you could easily retweak as Modern day new age by changing it to a few electronic effects. Same mentality of thought but a different era!
