Do not underestimate power itself. What do you think that energy is and how do you obtain and mantain it?
Energy is created from emotions. Emotions give us energy to get up every morning for work to suppory our family, energy to change a babies diaper, emotions stir up energy to write a poem or perhaps a book. A lack of energy is from a lose of love, since that is the strongest emotion, it creates the greatest energy. So I would say open comminication of love and feelings is the way to maintain it. I believe to obtain it you must believe in it, it must manifest from within. Or if you believe in a divine source, you may pray to the higher power, or meditate. It relies on the person, though some have psychological problems that interfer with this, depression, anxiety... but once again it goes back to love. Why are you depressed? If someone died you are close to, you losed someone you loved. You lose that energy, lose your self esteem. You must have a mindset to heal within (remembering the love you had for that person will never perish will give you the energy to heal) then things will come to you.
Energy -- or the understanding of how it can be utilized -- is the true philosophers' stone. I even wrote a book (The Vanilla World View) explaining how two or three energy-based principles can provide answers to virtually every unanswered question in the entire metaphysical/religious spectrum. Understanding how to properly direct energy may well also be the key to what I call "practical immortality". Yeah, it sounds outlandish....I thought so too back in 2002. But now, after over twelve thousand applications of those principles, I'm convinced that this is the key. Of course, there are plenty of others who also place Personal Power at the top of their metaphysical pyramid.
