    If you can find it!

Maybe the goat will beat you to it... he has been eyeing the fence since I started planting!

That's a nice little garden you have there :)

What's the virtue of growing in a bucket instead of the ground? I guess one obvious one is that if there's a frost or other weather extreme, your plants can temporarily live indoors.

We did containers because we got started late. And double digging for a raised bed seemed like too much work for me right now. Besides we had all these pots!!! So that's why we have a container garden. Things are growing well, we got really great soil and organic compost. Now I am in search of mulch.

In the fall I plan to start a no-till area with a layer of cardboard, compost and mulch topping in preparation for next season's garden.

Is the goat female. If so, who milks her. ??

That certainly brings back memories of Jane's mother shouting at her brother because he did not know the difference. :)

Meanwhile,........ Donald Trump is trying to work out a tariff to hit you with.

Sorry, the goat is definitely male :) I can see the difference!

So a garden tariff, that would be outrageous! But here in California they like to regulate everything, I would not be surprised if they had a garden inspector.

They will come by to inspect your yards to see if you have overgrown dead plants, grasses, etc. for fire danger purposes... and wield hefty fines if you disobey the rules...one of which is NO VEGETATION within five feet of the house.

Good luck with that I say...!

WOW Zen, you definitely have the green thumb!
I would love to have a veggie garden, but I have too many critters running around. Chipmunks, raccoons, squirrels, and even skunks.

Keep us updated with how they’re doing.

That's why we fenced the garden area.

And this one, sitting right outside the fence:

Don't be jealous, grow some plants of your own! Even a few on the patio, or balcony...I did hear of a guy that took a shipping box from Amazon, filled it with dirt, planted some potatoes and grew a bunch! Right on his porch!
