    American History (1780-1890)
Native Amerindian clashing with EuroAmericans pushing west, encircling Natives and forcing a violent response from them as they struggle to save their various cultures..

the shifting hammer and anvil, where the anvil also hammers in response..

for thousands of years, early versions of modern men and women battled for access (possession) of salt, food, water.. eventually, some figured out that trading/sharing was least costly method of survival.. females were inseminated by other human variants (my DNA shows 4% Denisovan.. my wife is 2.5% Neandertal.. yet our lineage ended up as Clan Dewar and Clan MacKay).. I find it fascinating that my ancestors turned right after leaving Africa and went E/NE whereas my wife's ancestors turned left and went W or NW.. my people endured famines and cold.. crossed the Russian Steppes thru Germany.. those who could pack on fat easily survived; those who were thin did not make it..

my wife is thin.. you don't need fat to live on a Mediterranean diet

When I was young, I must have been around 8 years old, fascinated by Ancient Egypt. It was a rewarding interest. Later on, I found their deep belief that all life, whether human or cosmic, , is interconnected with the concept of Ma'at. This represented ideals like truth, justice, harmony, and order. To them, Ma'at was a timeless and unchanging principle that kept the universe balanced and stable. Everyone in society, from humans to gods, played a part in maintaining this crucial balance. Now I am fascinated by the 1960s, it was such a decade of change that I continue to find it a rewarding and interesting.
