In the minds of some of the GOP, what they perceive as China taking advantage of the U.S. is actually Trump and others taking advantage of low production costs in China to import goods at a lower price, like Trump does with his clothing imports that he sells at a high price at luxury outlets.

It's really the U.S. taking advantage of the low prices China. A remedy for that is for the U.S. to start textile factories in the U.S., the ones Trump says don't exist and that he seemingly doesn't even know how to build in spite of him raving about himself continually as the master builder.

It's acceptable for people to want Made In America if they are willing to pay higher prices for it. The way Trump and his following have complained about inflation, it doesn't seem that they are likely to accept higher prices for Made In America.
