Things that remind you that you are a barefooter

I found a sliver of glass in my heel today, and hadn't even known it was there.

 

Tough sole!

 

Exactly! Soles like leather, heel cracks (have to be managed I find), tanned (with no tan-lines!) barefeet

 

Tanned bare feet drive me wild...

 

No tan lines around the ankles, been able to walk over a variety of surfaces with ease and tough leathery soles.

 

Having strong foot muscles and thick skin on my soles, and feeling a sense of accomplishment from it. Being able to snow walk where no others would try it. Just overall feeling happy that that particular part of my body is now stronger and healthier as a result, compared to how things were 20 years ago.

 

Arriving at work and realizing you've forgotten your shoes!

 

When I go to the doctor office and people look at me and then I look down and I am barefoot

 

Can't remember where I last had my shoes.

Walking along the side of the road in winter, and cars are slowing down when they get near me.

Yep, when I see the tourists at the beach who struggle walking barefoot in the parking lot and that asphalt isn't the rocky kind at all.

 

It's the people around me who remind me that I'm barefoot It's quite fun.

 

I know what you mean my friends do the same to me and they are amazed that I go to restaurants and other places barefoot with no problems .
