Karl Marx was a creep. He wanted to abolish the family because it seemed too bourgeoisie to him. He wanted to establish a totalitarian regime where the state owned all your property, so they could search your house anytime they liked. All while you were waiting for a perfect communistic utopia, that never came and never existed on the earth. No, democratic socialism is a much better idea. They have all the democratic freedoms, sometimes more. Ask Sweden. There are the most socialistic country in the world. And they also have the highest standard of living. That'd never work here in the US. But it does work.
It was inherited wealth he was against, not the family unit. Marxism--like capitalism, communism, socialism, and most other isms--is great on paper. It's just ruined once greedy humans enter the equation. That said, I'm not sure true Marxism has ever been tried.
Our country problems existed before trump if that’s what you want to focus on that’s up to you. Me personally I want real change money out of politics, term limits for all elected officials, digital rights , actual protection of free speech not just of speech one party likes, end to funding and participation of war for resources pretending to be the hero of the world, ending the lobbiest cycle for politicians, getting corporations to take their boot of working people’s necks
I just want to say, as a citizen, yes, I agree with this wholeheartedly. But as a transgender person, none of this matters if my most basic human rights aren't protected first. Step one needs to be full equality and freedom for all Americans.
And the teaching of critical thinking to the young, making sure that the wealth of this country is not just for the few , making those left behind susceptible to the bullshit of a destructive, narcissistic liar.
Not trying to be a dick just honestly asking what rights do you believe You don’t have and are being violated just trying to be specific about what legally can change.
The right to use the bathroom in public spaces; the right to travel freely with a passport; the right to employment and housing without being denied these things based on gender identity; the right of self-determination (what Americans love to call "liberty"); the right to trans-specific healthcare; for parents of trans youth, the right to parent their children as they see fit; the right of doctors to practice trans-specific medicine without fear of prosecution; protection from hate crimes. I could go on, but I think I've made my point.
It’s a lot to respond to so I will try to do my best. I think there is a lot of overlap with maga and what a lot of democrats want it’s just coded differently. Drain the swap = get rid of corruption. Rfk and make America healthy again= get poison out of our food we had peace under trump = no new wars. No I don’t think there approach is right and yes a lot is just lies but if the Democratic Party offered real change with the right message I do think they could win over some of maga and working class people they could also drive more of there own party to the polls.i think the biggest problem with the argument under Biden the economy improved is people living paycheck to paycheck did not feel it housing and food prices were up. The focus was on trump is a bad man and not how can the Democrats make your life better. They down played how people were doing economically if your food bill and rent doubled and a talking head on the news is saying the economy is great coast of living is great your not going to trust them even if they are technically right.
Not saying they are right just that they are talking about health and food I doubt they will pass anything I agree with. You also have the whole bro science group that listen to Joe Rogan and similar people who are concerned with health. Once again not saying their opinions are right but the concern for health could be capitalized on by the Democratic Party
