I am from the Netherlands,1500s!700s...........Beeldenstorm(catholis vs protastens),golden age VOC..................

For me, the 1950s and the 1960s. Separately. There's both a glamour and a carefreeness about Europe in the 1950s. Following the war, things and places opening up, and in film you see that happy and carefree attitude on people's faces. Then, for different reasons, the 1960s. Protesting, rebelling, herbal relaxation and free love. Not worrying about what others think, just doing what feels good and what feels right, challenging pre-existing morals. Either decade would please me, I think!

 

The 50 s(EU/NL) are more about restoring after WW2(work,work), the 60 s following the US, are more about Hippies/protest.................ect






Now we are in 2025................*sigh*

I guess for fiction I like the interwar period. A lot of art and optimism and adventurism. Its fascinating to me.

 

I love history..........current shitshow(history in the making)........would love to see the future, to see where it all goes(planet/humankind/ect)
