Hi! I'm Ashes. I'm female in my 20's, also new here. I don't want to say where I am now except in the US, but I grew up just south of Phoenix, Arizona. I miss the west so much. And I've been around Cali too. It's very beautiful (or was, fires have happened) and I miss seeing the Sequoia/Big Basin and Joshua trees and more. Santa Monica Pier is a lot of fun too.
The southwest desert is an amazing place. There’s nowhere else like it. I hope you get to see it again someday.
Thanks! I have a lot of good memories and thankfully pictures from all over the Southwest. I'll never forget it. I've seen Florida sunsets and I still think desert/western sunsets are much better.
I didn't know you were from the southwest too! You seem like a cool person. I'm happy to find other desert people. No one irl I'm by right now can relate to the desert life.
Also, long road trips in the desert at night are something else. As a kid I went on long road trips to different states in the southwest, and around California like I mentioned. Something about long straight roads in the desert at night is unsettling. It's beautiful and cool of course, but there's a weird feeling about it. I miss it though.
