I've answered this earlier in the post. Revisiting it today to share something that happened this morning. I went to a hot spring before sunrise this morning. To my surprise there was a car already in the parking lot. I figured with all the snow and cold no one would be there. Oh well, I'm still going to hike naked to the hot springs anyway. It was perfect out with no wind and just below freezing. Shortly I see a young couple standing in the trail arguing. As I get close, I call out good morning and wave. The woman turns and points at me and says "See!!" And then she asked if I'm happy with the way my body looks. What?!? I told her that I was totally fine with the way my body looks. She clapped her hand together and laughs then proceeds to get out of her clothes. At this point I have no idea what's happening lol. So, I say I'll see you guys at the springs and continue on. For the next couple of hours, I had a very nice conversation with her. She had loads of question about being nude outdoors and what places and things I've done nude. Nice person.

I found that once I started going naked at home all the time I worried less and less about how I looked in the mirror. I thought it would be the other way around. But it turns out that the more I see myself naked the more I realize that this is just how I look. Now that I no longer cover it up with clothes trying to ignore how look or to cover up and tell myself I don't look this way actually, I am more happy with my look. I ain't turning no heads for sure, but I feel much better about myself nowadays.

 

Now I'm all curious--what were they arguing about, was it that they (or just she) were unworthy to be naked because they weren't attractive enough? Anyway, I hope that your conversation included her partner, even if he didn't have a naturist outlook. It might help bring him around if you had a good long talk and were obviously not ashamed of anything, either letting your body be seen or letting THAT body be seen.

 

We did in fact try to include him in the conversation a number of times. He chose to either ignore, pout or glare at us. It appears that they have sense parted ways. I have stayed in touch with her. It seems the argument wasn't about attractiveness or perhaps it was her attractiveness. They are attractive people. Keep in mind I only have her side of the story. She says it ultimately had to do with his insecurity in their relationship. Whenever they were in public, he usually tried to avoid their being around others. She is rather striking, and people tend to comment on this. The thing is she loves being naked, especially outdoors. So, according to her he didn't want her to hike to the hot spring naked because he didn't want anyone to see what was his. Like I said I don't know his side of it so take that with a grain of salt.

 

It's too bad he was so insecure. Insecurity sure messes things up. But it sounds like you and her had a good time. That's all that matters.

No, I don't agree there. I want everyone to have a good time, but his attitude certainly makes that difficult for him. Now he's lost a relationship with a very nice woman, and it's his fault (if everything is as it's been described). Sometimes I really do think that naturists should try to accept every personality in the same way as we accept every body, but a point does come where someone is going to be just plain unpleasant to be around. And then I'd say, enough of this missionary stuff, I'm moving somewhere else!

 

Agreed. And his unwillingness to communicate makes it difficult to know where he is coming from.
