This is not cool.... I went to the doctor's yesterday and I had high blood pressure so she sent me to the hospital to get an NST (monitor the baby and all) When she examined me she said that my cervix is closed. She wants to induce labor but since my cervix is closed the end result would be a c- section. So now i am on bedrest until i give birth. GRRRRRRRRRRR. Funny thing is when i was at the hospital and they were checking my blood pressure it was normal. I think the only reason my blood pressure was so high at the doctors is cuz on our way there my fiancee was bickering to me about how im not aggressive with people on the phone and how i let them just walk all over me.
That really isn't cool. You have to have a C-section? Are you ok with that? I'm sorry your man wasn't being very easy on you in your fragile state. Bedrest can be boring and shitty, but it is best for your little bundle even if your blood pressure wasn't high. I hope we can keep you company and entertained!! Good luck to you and your little one!
stress is a bitch! I hope all goes well for you mama and everything turns out all right! I'll be thinkin good thoughts for ya!
no no no what i was trying to say is that my doctor wanted to induce me but since my cervix is just air tight closed and isn't going to dialate I would end up having to get a c- section. Now since I am on bed rest she is going to wait and see. I really don't want to get a c- section . I feel that everything is just rushed in today's society. If your patient and you wait long enough your body will give birth with no need of pain killers or c- sections. Your body produces endorphins on it's own all you have to do is work with your body and not fight against it.
I had 2 c-sections. I was a lil' disappointed that I could not give birth vaginally because I was looking at the Spiritual Cleansing aspect of it but after all was done I'm glad I had the c-sections. I heard too many horror stories about what happens to a woman and the agony one goes through. I'm thankful my area was left alone. (Plus I'm super sensitive in that area.) C-sections are not so bad. You'll be sore and you'll have a scar but at least you'll be able to sit.
I wish it had been that easy. I was in labor for 29 hours. My first son was facing up instead of down. He kept hitting his head on my cervics. My second son was breech. The idea of turning him was not an option. I wanted the drugs and the pain killers. I spent my first labor alone in a room by myself throwing up. It was a nitemare.
It was tough but I got through it. The Doctor came in the next morning at 6:30 all dressed in a suit and tie. I asked him if he was going to Church (it was a Sunday morning). He said no he was going to break my water. I remember feeling like those were the best words I have ever heard. lol
Is your high blood pressure due to Preeclampsia, honey? I had that with my first son. I had my doctor appointment and they said I had to go right up to the hospital and be induced because what Preeclampsia does is starts to register the pregnancy as toxic, so the only cure is to get the baby out. I didn't have a C-section though because I was already dialated to 4 by the time I got to the hospital. (I had been dialating for a month.) He was fine and everything, but it definately sucked. How far along are you? Are they absoultely sure that they'll have to do a C-section?
I was born breech too, btw....... and my mom still gives me grief about it. supposedly I tore her up, she had a natural birth with me.... but since I was coming out backwards, I ripped her open pretty good :/
I have no idea what my high blood pressure is from. My doctor said that it is normal at the end of pregnancy to have high blood pressure. They don't HAVE to give me a c- section she was just saying that if they induced me while I wasn't dialated that i would have to get one. So they are going to play the wait and see game...... And to madcrappie.. inducing labor or breaking the water sac all the doctor does is give you this drug in your iv. I think. Or if your cervix is dialated and the mucus plug is gone all one has to do is have sex and let her partner cum in her and a certain chemical in the sperm will help with the process of breaking the water sac. I m not too sure about all of what i said but that is what my lamaze teacher and my doctor had said.
I was born feet first. Guess I had to make my grand entrance into this world ass in the air. I guess it did a number on my mother too as she never lets me live it down.
the doctor sticks a hook like 12inch stick in the vagina and through the cervix, gets a grip on the bag of waters, yanks and rips the bag I've had it done twice
Yeah, me too. With Jacob they stuck the hook up there and thought that they got it, but then realized about 15 minutes later that they hadn't so they hooked me again and *gush*! Oh, that was fun....
