Two "sub-groups"? Then what is the opening forum going to be for?

I have no objection to both "naturism" and "barefooting" being sub-forums to the main, but then just what is the main forum for then?

I don't object to nudism also being a sub-forum, but barefooting should not be the main forum, because to me barefooting is not the essence of "Baring-it" as much as nudism is. You seem to think it makes one or the other more "superior", but it doesn't, it just means which one is the closest to the forum title, and nudism is more of what a person thinks of when they see "Baring-it", than barefooting is. Barefooting is a specific topic, that really doesn't come to my mind as something someone doesn't bare anyway, thus why make a big deal over it. I'm not putting it down, just my opinion is all.

I have no objection to that. I just want to see them separated so like-minded people can post together.

By the way, "Naturism" and "Nudism" are the same thing. "Nudists" are now referred to as "Naturists" these days.

I dont think a moderator would just arbitrarly throw a barefoot thread into the barefoot subforum if it was obvious that it had something to do more with nudity. The posts that would be a nuisance are those which there is no doubt that they are barefoot and which belong in the barefoot forum instead of the nudist one. I beleive a good moderator would use common sense and know what to put where.

If the check list for being a moderator here are:

A regular poster of this forum?
    Who posts insightful threads?
    Is responsible?
    Is fair and balanced?

Then my vote goes to peaceful Jeffrey. I have had my disagreements with him, dont necessarily agree with all he says but who says Im right. he is a consistent poster, has alot to say and always adds something to the topics.

Hes a natural choice for the job as modertor. sorry if iv taken you off topic for a bit, but I just wanted to add my voice!

Yeah, I have to agree with your assessment of peacefulJeffrey. He'd be a good, fair mod.

This is NOT true, as I pointed out a few weeks ago (in this forum, but can't remember which thread). But it's getting way to technical to explain this again, and it's pointless too, because making difference between a sub-forum Naturism and a sub-forum Nudism will be confusing anayway, even these are not the same things. Wouldn't it be better to have an extra Main Forum about barefooting? Then we would have Bare It! for Nudism/Naturism and Barefooting as a Status Aparte in the category Alternative Lifestyles.
    Problem solved, hallelujah!!

I definitely agree, since I feel "barefooting" is that different from naturism/nudism..

Those topics are not near as many as the barefooting posts, thus not a huge diversion, and even then, a good moderator could handle what is appropriate and/or on topic.

I can't understand why you want different topics in the same forum. If you truly enjoyed discussing barefooting with like-minded individuals, you would prefer to have that topic in it's own forum instead of scrambled about among totally different threads. Sometimes I feel as though you are just interested in forcing the topic of barefooting on others.

Thats okay, I just think that the barefoot stuff shouldnt be in with the nudism stuff and I think all of the nudism stuff should be balanced out so theres not too much of any one subject in there because some of the same stuff gets old after a while when you have like 4-5 threads in quick sucession with almost identical topics on them.

Nudism has more to do with some of those other things than barefootin does and I think the sub-forum should be about barefooting because nudism and similar things like that fit more with the bare-it title. Nobody really thinks about going barefoot as baring anything.

I agree, and this logical response is more reason why I think NudistMike07 would make a great moderator.
