It's a Beautiful Day...the whole LP is structured so that one can peak during it. Made sometime around 1968. Fine musicianship.

theres nothing great after 1974 except for a few metal bands in the 80s early 90s. after that is a few band with single hits maybe lucky enough to have 4 decent songs before they fall apart and split up.deftone, and metal church had some staying power .ozzy can still fill a stadium but hes getting very old very fast "as long as he dont loose the voice or can still remember the songs lyrics" he might have a few miles left. and Metallica can still please the crowd if they play theyr old stuff .

heh.. I like REO Speedwagon... Dave Amato is a damn good guitarist.

(not my choice for the best band, though)

    I have to say...

    Neil Young
    Eric Clapton/Cream/Yardbirds etc...
    Eric Johnson
    Phish
    Leo Kottke
Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band
    Bob Dylan
    Grateful Dead
    Tommy Emmanuel

sorry bro... aesthetic and esthetic are just variants of the same word. i went on the oxford english dictionary website and it says "also esthetic" under the entry for aesthetic. it gets switched up a lot in criticism, but basically, aesthetic is just the popular way to spell it if you think you know what your talking about better than other people.

I have a few things to say:

    1) In my oppinion (which is right...jk) the best band of all time is dylan backed by the hawkes. That 66 tour was just plain nasty and the basement tapes...incredible.

    2) MusicMan19 you seem to know your stuff pretty well but you come off as a jackass. I would love to talk to you about phish to try and show you the genius that is phish. Listen to some of their '94 shit its striaght up sick nasty.

    3) I might get alot of shit for this but ive seen alot of posts where phishheads take alot of shit just for liking their band, so im gonna come out and say it. Phish is a fucking sick ass band that know or knew how to fucking rock. Furthermore all the comparisions to the dead are kinda silly, but i do believe that phish's musicians were much more talented tahn the dead. Whenever i listen to live dead i just feel like their jams dont go anywhere.

Oh and P.S. Bela Fleck and the flecktones are godlly. Bela is the nastiest banjo player there ever was and victor whooton is pretty close to the sickest bassist there ever was.
