At what age did you start your period and start to get breasts?

When did you gals get your periods or breasts?

I first got period when I was 10. I know my grandma got hers when she was 11. I don't believe my 1 sister got hers until she was 14 or 15. My 2 half sisters are 13 and 11 and they haven't got theirs yet. I don't remember about my mom.
If it were at a younger age, was it harder for you to deal with it??

I know when I got my period I was in the end of 4th grade, and none of the girls in my class had had theirs. It was hard for me, because I suppose you could say I was a little more clumsy about it. I didn't know how to deal with it. I remember in 5th grade my period started one day and I had no idea. I went to the bathroom at home and my underwear were just covered in blood... I was so embarrased I didn't want to tell my mom or my grandma about it... and I thought they would find my underwear in the trash so I thought I could throw my underwear on the roof and they would never be seen again!! Hahahahaha, yeah right! One windy day they came down, and my mom thought I had pooped my pants and thrown them in the garbage bin outside and the wind blew it out! I'll never forget that day... I also remember watching this stupid video in 5th grade about menstration and puberty. The mom made ovary and fallopian tube-shaped pancakes with her daughter! That day it was also embarrasing because I didn't take my backpack to school and they gave us girls a box with different pads and booklets, and I had to ride my bike home and carry it in front of all the boys!
I remember riding my bike over a big bump when I was in 2nd grade and my chest felt weird and my mom said it was because I was starting to get boobs. In third grade I got my first training bras, but I refused to wear them after the first 2 days because they were itchy and someone mean made fun of me. By the end of 4th grade I had to wear a bra, and I hated it! Now I still hate to wear a bra, but I definately have to! I wear a D cup. I remember in 6th grade this mean boy asked me, right after a pep rally, in the middle of the gym, infront of the whole school, what size bra I wore! I was soooooooo embarrased! It was hard to be a 36 C then, especially when almost all the girls could get away with not wearing a bra still!

 

Ohhh gosh this brings back memories i remember my mom buying me a bra when i was 9 and i just refused to wear it there are pictures of me from 9 till 12 with my arm in front of my chest i thought i was being slick at the time but i just look at old pictures and cringe i was so ashamed and the ones without me hiding my boobs look even worse cuz i wasn't wearing a bra man if i only knew then that wearing a bra would have been much less embarrasing then letting them all hang out i also remember refusing to wear white shirts for years cuz you could see the bra strap, at my school this was a big deal to the boys they liked to snap your bra strap when they could see it and it really hurt and was humiliating. sorry i went on a tangent i hadn't thought about that for years. my period a mere age of 10 and i felt alone there too cuz my best friend did get hers till she was 14. ahh know i cherish the fact that i am woman!!!!hear me ROAR

 

I was 10 when I started my period. I had no idea what it was. I was raised by my dad but luckily at that time there was a female in the home. There was a time in 5th grade when the blood bled through the pad and i bent over at recess and my best friend was like what's that on your pants? Really embarrasing. She still likes to talk about that for some reason..... I think I started wearing a bra around 9 or 10 but i hated it. I liked getting boobs though more than getting my period.

 

Hmm...I think I got my first bra when I was about ten, my period sometime after that, maybe 11? I remember when I got my period, I was at Swiss Chalet and I didn't know what had happened It didn't look like I thought it would, so when I saw it on my undies I didn't know what it was! rofl! I remember how mean the boys were too... I have this little image in my head of this guy in my class (I forget his name) yelling something about a "milk attack" at this girl who had a bra. Humiliation!

 

Got my period at age 12. I'm almost 17 and I still can get away with a bra. I wear like a 34 A. They say if you put a pencil under your chest and it stays, you don't need a bra. I'm not even CLOSE to that point yet! I just like wearing a bra because I'm always cold and it adds a little warmth, and like someone pointed out on this board a long time ago, "I don't feel like having my chest serve as a whether predictor". LOL!

 

heh. I tink I started my periods when I was 12 and I was round my friends house. It was really embarrassing cos as she was older than me I felt like a kid so I told her Id already started! I went to the bathroom and I was like WTF?! I had to tell her Id lied and then basically said HELP! lol. One of my mates started when she was like, 9 or something silly. bless her. shes basically had boobs as long as she can remember and now shes DD! cow! lol. (luv ya really sam) poooor her though! I HATED wearing a bra and in year 7 I remember everyone was wearing a bra (we wear white school shirts- totally see-through) and I didnt. There was loads of rumors going round that my mum was dead and thats why I didnt wear a bra! (i lived with my dad and brother) god! theres just too much pressure to grow up when your a girl. I was like 'well I have no boobs! thats why I dont wear a bloody bra!' I think I started to get boobs around year 8 (13) I love um now!

i got my period when i was 11 years old. I was very young, but i knew all about it, and surprinsingly I really wanted my periods to start for some reason. I remember my mum gave me one of her bras to wear when i was about 10 or 11, but i didnt like wearing it cos it felt uncomfortable. but then i got used to it. Even though i've really small breasts (36A) I have to wear a bra otherwise they feel sore after a while. I dont wear a bra at home though, which is cool, its feel much freer that way

I didn't know I had boobs until I was 17. I never wore a bra.I just didnt think of myself like that. hehe. I still don't wear bras a lot of the time.

 

I had big boobs at an early age. All the girls in school made fun of me & accused me of stuffing my bra. All the boys just wanted to cop a feel. No one else in my class had boobs as big as mine, it was embarrassing.

I remember in 4th grade I was developing my breasts and in the middle of the year when I was in 5th grade i had gotten my period for the first time. I was so freaked out cuz I was in Gymnastics and I had practice after school for 4 hours and well near the end of the sesion I went to the bathroom and looked at my leotard and I had blood all on my lower half I started to scream bloody murder. My coach ( a male) came running in broke the door down and asked what was wrong I said look I am bleeding. He turned red in the face left and came back with a coat. He called my mom and told her what was happening and she came and got me. I was so releived after my mom explained what was happening.

 

i was 9 when i started wearing a bra (out of necessity) and 11 when i started my period...i thought i was weird to have deveoloped so young, lol, but it looks like i wasn't the only one!

I was 13 when I got my first period ON CHRISTMAS MORNING! God that sucked...but at least I was home. Had even slight cramps from the get go. I remember I went to the bathroom after having opened up all my presents, and I came out all confused and said, "um, mom...I'm bleeding?" She got this knowing look on her face and came and gave me a hug lol...she knew what was coming!! THE PAIN!!! The pain runs in the family. As far as boobs? I really have no clue when I started developing them. I don't remember when the hair started showing up down there either. all that just sort of ... appeared lol. I know I didn't wear a bra until I got to college lol. I tried in 7th grade for about 2 days and gave up cause I hated them (saw someone else up there did the same thing ).

 

Hmm...I don't remember when I first got breasts. I at least know that I didn't like wearing a bra, still don't like it very much in fact. I had my first period when I was 14, which is rather late... When I told my mom she was really happy and when I came home from school she had bought me chocolate

 

I started to grow breasts when I was 9, and I started my period when I was 11. I hated it. I was embarassed about the breast development because none of my friends had any yet, and even though I looked ematiated (seriously, I looked way too thin), I had these little boobs poking out. The boys in my grade used to grab the back of my bra and snap it as they went past me at school.

Then when my period started, I was a mess then too. Again, none of my friends had gotten theirs yet. I felt like the odd one out.

period 13 i think breasts I had weird aa's untill I was 13 and then b's when i was 15 and at least large c's since 19.

 

I didn't wear a bra untill highschool. I hated the things and even in high school I just wore a camisole now I always have to wear a bra even if I'm home alone.

 

My ex would have to wear a sports bra to sleep cuz she said she needed the support (she was big for her size)

I got my period when I was 11. I came out of the bathroom with a horrified look on my face and my brother was like are you ok?! I ran to my room and cried. My mom didn't find out till she found my stained undies in the trash. I was so ashamed of it, I blame this on my mother who never told me about "becoming a woman."

I was always hunching my back and wearing layers of clothes because I didn't want anyone to notice my new boobs, so my mom bought me a bra and I've been okay with tits ever since. I'm fine with my body now, but I wonder why it was so hard for me to adjust back then.
