I am lighthearted so my question is what is your favorite film of all time?

You should watch the historic film "Cromwell".
    It included.
    Fluorescent lighting in his castle.
Standing in front of a panel of switches during one scene.
A 747 flying over the battle.
Tops of trucks over the hedge in the same scene.
    Not to mention electricity pylons.
The best part, was the dead army extras, getting up and walking off before they finished shooting. Crew were waving at them to get back down, while some of them were just sitting back down, one guy went for a dying swan act. He was probably hoping for an Oscar.

The list is endless, including guys wearing sneakers.

Blue Velvet by David Lynch is one of my favs. Really weird shit, and Dennis Hopper stole the show!

“North by Northwest” with Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint…..a classic mystery with lots of geography!

…..Oppenheimer most certainly is not a favorite of mine. I read the early biography Robert Oppenheimer Shatter of Worlds and watched the film based on a recent biography by Kia Bird. I found the movie very lightweight, trivialized real science and scientists, and Hollywood like…science fiction.

I think one's "favorite film" of all time changes as we progress through life and acquire more experiences and see more films, particularly foreign language films instead of only Hollywood films.

There are too many to sort out. Some movies to consider are : Tombstone, Mama Mia, Patton, From Russia with Love, Midnight in Paris, A Man for all Seasons, Young Frankenstein. No matter how many times I have seen them, I will invariably watch them when I see them listed in the paper., The Beejees are misting through my brain right now.
