Is it wrong to want to walk outside and strangle your neighbor's dogs? I love dogs, I have always lived with them. I don't care much for the little yippy dogs though. I like the big ones. Nehoo, these dogs will be tied up outside, and the whole time they are out there, they will yap nonstop at nothing. I have yet to of discovered what it is they are barking at. Whenever my dogs are out here on the sunporch >where my computer is at< they go berserk. Needless to say, I can keep control of them and tell them to be quiet. But then, my blue heeler mix will grab her tennis ball and shake it around madly, snorting and biting down hard. I can tell that she wishes that the tennis ball was one of the dogs, so we share the same feeling towards them. They finally shut up now, but only because they are inside. Now i have my peace and quiet until they return a few hours later
Are you friends with the neighbors? If they work during the day and don't realize they have a problem. If your neighbors don't care, then call your City Hall and find out what the local ordinance for noise, barking dogs. We had the same problem. The owner was at work all day and left his German Shepard outside. He didn't give a damn the problem he was causing in the neighborhood. It was discovered the owner had a responsibility to contol his dog, including nonstop barking. Three different people needed to call in and complain. The city sent a cop out and spoke to the offending owner. The first run was a warning. After that he would be issued a ticket which he could be fined, court appearance and court costs. Can't remember the amount, but it was worth it to the owner to clamp down on his mutt. He moved away a month later. Seems if you are bothered, then chances are other neighbors are as well. Maybe they will also be willing to call in as well. If they are really friendly with you, even if they don't hear the dog themselves, they'll call in and complain anyway. In our situation, 15 people complained within a half hour. The more people complaining, the sooner they sent out that cop.
I have barely talked to them, but my blue heeler has attacked their dogs twice because it wasn't on a leash >my dumbass dad's fault...I hate him, but that's another issue< Nehoo, If I were to do this, they would throw that in my face.
When then complaint was lodged in our situation, the complaintants remained anonymous. More so if since many complaints were lodged against then offending owner. For us, it was the City vs. the dog owner. It may be worth a try calling the city and finding out was the proceedures are. Possibly the complaintants are not identified. Hope it turns out OK for you.
l'd complain to the owner of the dog. Write of letter of complaint to your local council. If your neighbours are renting I'd write a complaint to the landlord and or realestate.
Take a big knife, skin their fur off and put it on their porch and make a sign that says BARK! YELP! and lay it on them, and then say have a nice day. j/k. Tie their mouths shut. I hate barking dogs. I love my dog, but I am a cat person.
