C'mon... put your hands up if you like their cover of the majestic Kate Bush track Hounds of Love... I wanted to dislike it... but I have to say that I think it's really fucking good... Bugger, eh?... Fly...
Yeah I think it's pretty swell too. Haven't heard anything else from them though, which seems odd as they're kinda local and folk have been talking about them for a while now. But aye, they can't be all bad to pull off a Kate Bush cover so well. Is the debut out do you know?
Yeah... apparantly it's out... but, like you said, I've not heard anything other than the Hounds of Love track... Fly...
Heard more good things about The Futureheads last night. I was listening to oneclick magazine on radio 1 and they've got the editor of the NME talking about new albums each week. Apparently we're lucky to have it at all. They've had labels giving them shit, they've given shit to labels in return, they've recorded the album once already but weren't happy with it so went and did it all again with another producer, which meant a severe slash in funds. All kinds of crap. Plus the NME guy was saying on the recent NME tour, Futureheads were the only band that all the other bands wanted to watch! And they're from Sunderland, so I'm probably gonna buy the album for nostalgary reasons! Hey the last band to come out of Sunderland were Keniki with that Lauren Lavern, it's been a long time coming!
Haha, I remember Keniki... Anyway, The Futureheads are awesome. Hounds of Love is unbelievable. I wanted to not like them because they seemed like another of these new trendy bands that are so cool to like, but my brother taped me the album and its incredible! I love the way they sick in geordie accents!
Excellent... in that case, I may just post loads of threads about "indie shit" just to annoy the shit outta you!!!... Fly...
heeeey now! the futureheads are unbelievable!!! especially live...and whats with the fucking indie bashing lol??? indie saves souls...especially when ya mix it up with a bit of funk
