    No, I used to in magazine form, I even bought a CD with all the back issues on it. It's around here somewhere....I think.

    I used to read the down-under equivalent Grass Roots magazine. I got paid to write a few articles. I always tried to write clearly and succinctly. My rule was do not write 3 pages when one will do.

    I use to read it back in the 70’s. Got a lot of good information from it on growing your own vegetables and some handyman tips.

    I used to see that website all the time in searches, I think its possible it got slightly deranked by Google as punishment for promoting off grid and self sufficiency.

    Huge Mother Earth News fan! Been a magazine subscriber for many years and used to go to their fairs before covid. I actually just went through my magazine over the weekend and sorted out the ones I don't want to keep for reference

    Yes, I get some news from there thru my news reader, SmartNews. I've always enjoyed their perspective on everything, especially the environment and social issues.

    I have the book. I gifted my 1977-2000 incomplete collection to my daughter in law.

    My son just realized he “married his mom” as far as homesteading dreams and artistic impulses go.

    didn't do it for a long time. I still pick up Mother Earth News occasionally — some of the practical advice feels timeless. It’s a nice break from the doom scroll of headlines that flood sites like fox nation reviews and similar outlets. There’s something grounding about soil cycles, simple machinery, and hands‑on projects that you just don’t get from most mainstream media. I lean on the magazine for gardening tips more than anything else. Even if I don’t agree with every article, there’s always a nugget of insight.
