I feel my eye slowly prying open
I feel my mind absorbing the answers like a sponge
My eye adjusts to the light and clarifies the distortion that was once a mystery
I feel my heart welcoming the fear and darkness with love as it would a friend
While shedding light on your face and removing your dark cloak I see the purity of your instinct
I'm processing and analyzing every particle I can with my barely opened eye
If I could only pry it all the way open and extend my muscles to the maximum
If I could only see what lays beyond me...Beyond us
If I could only step into the darkness with a new technique...With a new approach...With a new and glowing eye.

'My eye adjusts to the light and clarifies the distortion that was once a mystery'
Redundancies like this give me a giant-sized headache. I'm a good guy- why would you torture me :)

Well, the poems about mind progression and crossing a threshold so when I say "clarifies the distortion that was once a mystery" I am reffering to the progression of mind that has been made. At first you saw nothing, then you saw a glimpse, then it became a distortion until it was finally clarified and you could se clearly what it really was.

are you experiencing a radical shift in the way you view your life, existence in general, your friends/colleagues/cohorts' behaviour?

Poetry is a great medium for expression - a million people hiding the same feelings you share could cause mayhem.

    freight trains a'plenty
