Trump is this upset at the NY fraud trial and it isn't even Cohen who's testifying.

Who would have thought that a presidential candidate with major civil cases and 91 criminal charges against him in four jurisdictions would be using his court appearances as campaign events and benefiting from it in fundraising and in the polls to the tune of a 45% lead over the next closest rival candidate of his party.

A reporter in the court hallway at the NY civil fraud trial asked Trump why he wasn't campaigning.

Trump said he wanted to be in court to see what was happening.

Trump should have said that he was campaigning, right there in the court.

Trump stated today that he thinks that his presence in the courtroom dismantled the fraud case like Perry Mason and that it will be dismissed soon.

Trump sounds akin to mafia boss Gotti who was angered and making gestures in court.

    Article from March 1992.

Judge threatens Gotti with removal - UPI Archives

    excerpt:

"Gotti stood defiantly at the defense table with his hands folded across his chest.

'If you want to continue to remain at this trial and at that table, I am going to direct you to remain at that table without making comments which can be heard in this courtroom -- without gestures, which are designed to comment upon the character of the U.S. attorneys and the questions of which are being asked of the witnesses,' said the judge, barely containing his rage."

Jack Smith is trying to force Trump to make a difficult decision on whether he wants to have the option of blaming his attorneys for his criminal charges in the DC election subversion case.

Trump having the option to blame his attorneys would open up potentially more incriminating information that would have otherwise been protected by attorney-client privilege. If Trump chooses to not have the option to blame his attorneys, then his legal options at trial are more limited but attorney-client privilege is better maintained.

Random thought: If Trump should (heaven forbid) win the presidency in '24, how long do you think it would take him and his acolytes to start a movement that allows him to be named President-for-Life?

Why bother with silly things like running for election every 4 years?

After all, it's the next logical step toward gaining the title of dictator.....or even monarch. King Donald I ?

Of course, this idea is ridiculous. The only thing wackier would be the tens of millions of people that would find it to be a terrific move.

That's in the DC court system where Trump doesn't have the protection of Aileen Cannon.
