If only Hamas hadn't executed its grisly surprise attack last week, Gaza.......and Israel......would not been in state of bloody turmoil.

When even body bags are running low (mass graves are now being dug)......when even basic medical supplies are more priceless than gold........when water and food are almost nil, you KNOW the situation is dire and grim.

The vast network of tunnels built by Hamas (these tunnels, while being dug, were NEVER detected?!?) are used by the human vermin to carry out still more despicable deads.

Like all vile, bottom-feeding vermin, Hamas has to hide within the earth in darkness, just waiting to inflict more horrific acts on innocent people.

None of us knows what will take place once the massive attacks begins, on land and on the air.

Thousands of wounded are faced with death, with hospitals overwhelmed, and virtually out of medical supplies.

To see a massive extermination of Hamas jackals would be to see a tremendous victory of good over evil.

    It's all so sickening.......and senseless..............

upload_2023-10-16_0-29-11.png PXL_20231016_035101236.jpg When many cities destroid by Russia in Ukraine the western communities condemned it as war criminal, the reaction was right, but surprising to destroy Gaza is the right of Israeli as a defense action.
The above pics belong to Ukraine and Gaze.
It is just a dirty political jugment by western countries.

....in case anyone are wondering what "civilization" would look like after a nuclear war, those previously posted, haunting images indeed speak tremendous volumes.

Yes, we ALL want Hamas to pay the heavy price they so richly deserve, after the mass slaughters of innocents at their filthy, blood-stained, barbaric hands.

    BUT.......

    BUT......

MUST we also see many thousands of innocent people suffering for the evil of sick-minded terrorists?

As each day passes, the more I cannot fathom what is going on, and why.

Order a CEASE FIRE......and do it NOW!!

WIPE OUT Hamas....but there is NO NEED to reclaim Gaza.

Let's END the senseless slaughter and suffering NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hamas has to be punished and pays the price of his barbaric actions, and it is the Israel's right to fight and crush them, but why the civilians has to be killed? Killing the inesens children ,women , men is condemn no matter they are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Ukrainean, Russian, black or white and no body has right for any reasons geneces the inecens people.

Just heard (2:40 am EST) that now there is "skirmishing" along Gaza's northern border, rumblings of Hezbola.

I have also heard that water and electricity has been restored (at least for now) to southern Gaza; the hospitals only have about a day's worth of medical supplies left.

I only wish I could feel otherwise, but i fear that this war is going to be a long, drawn-out, bloody conflict, involving other territories, and inciting even further widespread death and destruction.

When we occupy a world where even basic respect for human life and property mean little or nothing, where not even the lives of innocent children are spared, we are made painfully aware that this is HELL....HELL on earth............

The first step in war, the step which makes all that inevitably follows possible, is the dehumanization of your opponent. "Huns", "Krauts", "Japs", "Nips", "Slopes", "Chinks", "Dinks", "Gooks", "Ragheads", "Sand Niggers"; racism and ethnic hatred are the sine qua non of any war. If you can condition people to believe that your opponent is less than human, it's so much easier to condition them to hate and to kill. Language like the above serves precisely this function. It certainly does not serve the cause of peace and reconciliation in any way, shape, or form.
Hamas and Israel are both repugnant; neither give a rat's ass for the Geneva Conventions, the rules of war (such as they are), and both delight in their tit-for-tat massacres of civilians. But they're political organizations. Hamas and Israeli alike are people, not "vermin" or "jackals". In dehumanizing others, we defile and corrode our own humanity as well. Even in war, (perhaps especially in war) we should never loose sight of the fact that despite all our differences, on each end of the rifle, we're the same.

"Despite all appearances, no one is truly evil. They are led astray by delusion. Think on this often, and you will offer more light than blame and condemnation."

Rembering the term: "War Of Choice". from back in the day.
So, why choose war; and its destruction?

In a perverse way, Hamas and Israel need each other to prop up each other's regimes.

“It was very easy, it has nothing to do with Nazism, it has something to do with human nature. You can do it in a Nazi, socialist, communist regime, in a monarchy and even in a democracy. The only thing that needs to be done to enslave people is to scare them. If you manage to find a way to scare people, you can make them do what you want.”
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

    Pbiobaire:

If "ethnic monikers" have always been distasteful, hurtful, and redundant; they are even more so during times of war.

Wars like this taint the ethnic backgrounds of all involved; literally, all are being "tarred with the same brush".

While the Japanese GOVERNMENT launched the deadly, infamous attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, it was the INNOCENT Japanese populace that suffered (I need not mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki)

My step-grandfather (born in Germany) was Lutheren; despite NOT being Jewish, the Nazis executed his two brothers and his crippled sister (who never came to the States) when they refused to pledge thier allegiance to the Third Reich.

Too many people forget that in EVERY war that has EVER been fought since time began, it is the INNOCENT who SUFFER the MOST, becoming political scapegoats, pawns, and human shields.

Has "civilized" man EVER learned from century upon century of wars and fighting?

I think the answer is glaringly obvious today..............

    I can’t make the
    world be peaceful
    I can’t stall tanks
    from roaring down roads
    I can’t prevent children
from having to hide in bunkers
    I can’t keep a madman from
    creating heartbreaking headlines
I can’t convince the news to
stop turning war into a video game
I can’t silence the sound of bombs
    tearing neighborhoods apart
    I can’t turn a guided missile
    into a bouquet of flowers
    I can’t make a warmonger
    have an ounce of empathy
    I can’t convince diplomats
to quit playing truth or dare
    I can’t deflect a sniper’s bullet
from turning a wife into a widow
    I can’t stave off a schoolyard being
    reduced to ash and rubble
I can’t do any of that
the only thing I can do
is love the next person I encounter
    without any conditions or strings
    to love my neighbor
    so fearlessly that
    it starts a ripple
    that stretches from
    one horizon to the next
    I can’t force peace
    on the world
but I can become a force
    of peace in the world
    because
    sometimes all it takes
    is a single lit candle
    in the darkness
    to start a movement
    oh, Spirit,
    let me be a candle
    of comfort in this world
    let me burn with peace

A phalanx of ambulances and rescue units are now standing by at the Egyptian border, waiting for the massive flow across the border (that is, those who are being ALLOWED to cross the border at this time)

I have been hearing about the return of SOME running water and electricity at the southern border.

Israeli forces are poised for a massive attack.

    What next?

It's anyone's guess at this time....

President Biden is considering a trip to Egypt.

Heaven help the Secret Service, trying to protect him, if he does decide to travel to Egypt.........

    It is now official......

President Biden WILL be flying to Egypt on Wednesday.

Now, NY Governor Hokel is ALSO flying over.

Personally, I think that this is only going to further aggravate and inflame already boiling tensions.

This is all getting too bizarre for me.........God help all involved.

Can this ever-worsening humanitarian crises escalate even further?

I think we all, sadly, all know the answer to this question..........

    I suspect otherwise.
I think the visit will delay any strikes until after it has taken place, thus giving diplomats more time to achieve something.
Also, as reported in the UK and I hope world-wide, there's a push to get Israel to obey International Humanitarian Law, which currently is seems not to be.
If Israel is tempered to be more focused, rather than just exacting revenge, it may help keep Iran in the background (not involved) and reduce the likelihood of a whole upsurge across the Middle East involving Egypt, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran and probably others I can't think of right now. Oh yeh, Syria and Jordan.

I certainly hope I am wrong and you are right.

What you say does make sense; perhaps, just perhaps, the President's visit MIGHT at least TRY to "cool off" the intense chaos now taking place, with so many millions caught in the crosshairs.

Let us hope (and pray) for the best, for all concerned...............

Doesn't Biden have a history of negotiating? I seem to recall reading that he does.
I expect this subject matter is of such importance to US politics that Blinken was the warmup act with the POTUS coming in now to close any potential deal to avoid escalation/war.
Maybe I am too optimistic or too soon in my optimism.
