I know this doesn't really belong in the fashion and crafts forums, but i post here the most, and i like u guys....and most of u seem to have digital cameras, what's the best to get for a cheap price?
Not really a best, mostly just go for the highest megapixels you can get within your price range, oh and digital zoom is worthless. So, mp and optical zoom are the main things to look for, and what it uses for storage, if you care.
My family and I all have Fugi Cameras. I have the A210 which is a 3 megapixel and my dad has the A310 which is the step up. We both love our cameras. They are prety reasonable. I feel that 3 MP is all you really need to get quality web photos as well as prints. Just my thoughts though. My friend Karen has a 3MP Cannon that she loves. Olympus makes a damn good camera also. So really it is what is in you price range. I would suggest going someplace like Wolf or Ritz camera and talking to their camera person. They are extreamly helpful and you can try the cameras out for free. They also have a club plan that allows you to take the camera for free if you pay a monthly charge. You get a certain number of prints per month for free. That is what I did last year to get my camera. Hope this helps.
Well to an extent... when i bought mine i could get a 3 megapixel olmpus or a 4 megapixel no brand anyone ever heard of... I went for the brand i know.. Get the highest megapixle in your price range from a reputable company... olympus, sony, kodak... some name you never heard of.. stay awayfrom or do some research before you buy it.. dont want to spend money on a piece of shit
i have a nikon and i love it..... course i didn't have to buy it, was a graduation gift, but, this only makes me love it more.....
Oh yeah, definitely stick with a brand you've heard of, other ones are likely to be pieces fo crap that break easily, that's why they're cheaper. Really like said above, about 3mp is good enough for most things, unless you want to make large prints. I have a Nikon also, and I like it.
I have an Olympus that I really like. It wasn't too expensive and it's really easy to use. That was important!
The only advice i have to pas on that differs from the above is someone came into where i used to work (gadget shop) and he was from japan and looked at some cameras and he had to know if they were from china or japan, at first i thought he was just being nationalistic, so i asked him "why not from china" and he said that often the quality of electronical products arent as good from china as they are from japan. ...*shrug* so i dunno if its true but thats what the guy said.
I have a cannon powershot..and i think it is one of the best cameras out there...it's pricey though...but..a digi cam is a must have..
I have a Sony Cyber shot 707. It works for shows, some landscapes and product. Sprts and frenetic musicians are tough, but possible. It's a 5 mp, 10x zoom, and about three years old. The lens is a Zeiss, the main reason I bought it. A friend of mine, Ariel Phares, uses a 717, one step up from mine, for concerts see www.kimock.com for her stuff. I get prints up to 20x16 IF I remember to save as bmp. 8x10 on tif and jpg. These are saleable quality prints. price == don't ask. I bought my first car($800) for less.
I just got a canon powershot A510 and it's a really good camera. it has 3.2 mega pixels and 4x optical zoom. it was only $200, that's a damn good price for a camera with that quality
thanx for all the replies. what's all this mega pixels digital zoom blah blahblah? Again, i want the best quality for a low price. I wont be able to afford anything more than like $300 for a while still...and even that's still a lot.
