I recently decided that I don't believe in prescription meds anymore, for many reasons. So instead of buying stuff from the drugstore, I found out a natural way to cure it. Yogurt, plain yogurt.

I heard that too, never had to try it though. I wonder if it works well.

BTW, the best way to do this is to smear a gob right on there and arm yourself with plenty of panty-liners in your undies. Usually this cure works overnight.

If you have a "yeast infection" that is resistant to antifungals, both OTC and Rx, it is very likely bacterial vaginosis. You should consult a doc, you need a few days worth of Flagyl, or Metrogel-Vaginal, or Cleocin Vaginal.

There is no way I would recommend putting dairy products on your vagina! The yogurt will spoil in no time, and the sugars in the yougurt, combined with the pH lowering from the calcium, provides a perfect enviroment for some nasty bacteria.

Many people also beleive that dairy contributes to yeast growth. If you refuse to use pharmaceuticals, then at least consider a enteric coated Acidophilus. A dose is worth about 50 tubs of yogurt, with NONE of the dairy side effects.

I used to try putting yogurt in my yoni, BLECH. I swear by taking acidophilus, using monostat or femstat, or if really bad, doing 4 days of oral antifungals. Of course, if it is bacterial, like Photo suggested, none of these will work. You need something that kills BACTERIA, which antifungals don't do too efficiently.

The only people I see who have Diflucan resisitant yeast are people who took LONG TERM doese of it, like for months. Most of these people are cancer patients, AIDs patients and preterm babies. Normal garden variety yeast infections WILL respond to 2-4 days of oral Diflucan.

Tea Tree oil is an antifungal, but it is fairly caustic. I think it would be uncomfortable, but then again, I DON'T HAVE A VAGINA!

During an episode of already compromised vaginal tissue? OWWWWWWW!!!! Damn, that stuff burns. (Maggie runs from the computer, clutching her yoni in terror.)

I've often wondered, How do you know you have a yeast infection? My friend went to the doc for a check-up, and she had one, but had no idea. So how do you recognize that you might have one? What are the signs to look for? What affects do they have on your body??
