I apologize if I'm coming across as obtuse - but I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "just be smart". Do the police ignore these beaches or what? Is it legal to be naked on them?
The only beach it is legal is blind creek, but they won’t bother you at any of them as long as you are abiding by the beach rules… usually posted , no glass, no pets ect. The only thing you will get cited for or arrested are lewd acts. .so just be careful and be discrete if you want to have a little play time. The beaches are patrolled by law enforcement on ATV’s and you can hear them coming a long way off … so just be aware of your surroundings
So it's not legal but people do it anyway? And the cops don't ticket them even though it's illegal? What if you strip off on a beach where nobody else strips off. Would the cops ignore that also?
Playalinda and Apollo are federal land. There are no federal law on nudity. But they can enforce nudity laws under the county laws. Apollo is in Volusia County and are lax in nudity laws. Playalinda is in Brevard County which has nudity laws. It is basically a friendly agreement allowing nudity. If you stay within the set guidelines, you won't be cited. The rangers have designated a beach for the nudists and ask you stay in that area. It's mote in regardscto courtesy on everyone's part. Trust me...good nudists don't want the privilege taken away and if you are out of line they will contact a ranger or handle matters in their own ways. Haulover and Blindcreek are designated lawful nude beaches and soon one in Tampa area.
Tampa really? I thought I had heard something about trying to get one established over there. Where is it?
I'm not sure they have an exact location yet. Last I heard is the county okayed it and they were fundraising to meet the needs required. https://tampabayfreebeaches.com/
I’ve been to Apollo Beach in Canaveral National Seashore in New Smyrna Beach. I had a great time…. It’s nice
I have been to all of those but would rather stay near home in nw florida and go to a lil known spot of sand that I have gone to for a very long time
I not far from there near[ pensacola] and have never there. It would be nice to see something different.
I've been to Haulover a couple of times. Once you get the lay of the land(parking and where the nude area is), it's a great place to go. Everyone mind their business and acts respectful.
