Shaving issues.... down under....

I've kept myself shaved smooth for about the past 10 years. I shave down there about every other day while in the shower. My wife and I like the smoothness.

What a foolish custom, though... People will fall for just about anything if given the perception that most people are doing it.

When everyone else is running off a cliff, the one running away appears to be the crazy one.

 

We have a friend who will not shave her legs . Will not shave her arm pits. Doesn't shave her "Happy Trail" But shaves her pubic hair every time she showers or takes a bath. So it really breaks down to a persons personal choice. And let me just say that she has more hair on her legs then most guys do.

 

well everyone has personal preferences on what makes them feel sexy or to what they enjoy doing for themselves or for their partners/SO, ---- i guess if the corporate world finds a way to make money off it I guess thats why there are so many stores and ways to purchase things...... if it makes life easier why not

 

To avoid a rash and ingrowing hairs, shave downwards.

 

Waxing is a good way to keep the stubble at bay for a few weeks and I like to use underarm deodorant for a couple days after helps keep the bumps down

 

I find this funny. I've always had almost none on my legs. This past spring I used Nair on my legs to remove it all and it didn't seem any different than before. I'd had two accidents in one day on my bicycle and figured that, at my age, it's about time I took precautions in case I get scraped up. Hairy scrapes are a bitch. I've been lucky so far. However, I ended up hardly riding my bicycle at all this year, as something always seems to come up to prevent it. Now that my legs are quite bald I think I'll keep them that way. I haven't decided whether to remove the rest of my arm and body hair. Perhaps after I get busy on my next bicycle.

Edit: On a woman I still prefer quite the massive forest-style bush. Bigger is better! And I love long hair on a woman. Rolling down to the small of the back in large, glorious waves. Woof!

 

I trim but don’t shave. After a few nicks on the sack and stubble irritation I went to just trimming the hair.

Well, I'm arguably kind of a cow, and as such it's hilarious to see my hairless member dangle...

But for multiple years I shaved... everywhere - not just "down there". In fact, it began to be something of a chore... I would do this weekly - part of my weekend ritual, and finally it was downright laborious!

So I quit sometime in early 2020. Everything is back to normal now. Nothing weird about hair I guess - except that there's so much of it!

 

There's a right way and a wrong way to do this. Easiest way is in a hot shower to get the area nice and soft. Then soap up the area, use a new (or fairly new) razor, and do not press down hard on the skin. That's a sure way to nick yourself.

 

I have been shaving my genitals since Im was a teenager, per my girlfriends request. Then many years later I started shaving again. I prefer the feeling of my smooth penis area and my balls. Not sure what to do about your issue except shave everyday. I guess use some sort of ointment. O yea, keeping my genitals shaved makes me somewhat feel like a little bouy again and makes my penis appear larger...

 

I've always preferred the smoothness as I started while in the service being in the jungle for long periods of time. I agree, without my pubic hair I do appear larger.

 

I trim with one of these and like this set it has 2 body combs .As long as you dont apply any pressure it will not nick and you dont want nicks down below .

Its not an expensive unit but with a name like Philips you know your getting a quality unit .

Its obviously useful for your facial hair as well and is great for trimming .

 

Never understood why a guy would want to shave his stuff. Make a guy look like a little boy. I like my man hair and would never shave it off.

I've been shaved smooth for 13 years myself. My first wife hated that I trimmed it close, said I looked like a 12-year-old. I replied, how many 12-year old's you know with an 8" cock? Due to having problems with a very itchy scrotum I started shaving down below when I was 63. I'm now 72 and find that if the hair starts to grow back the itchiness gets worse, so I just make sure to keep it shaved as much as possible. Normally around twice a week, using a 5 blade razor. That way I get the closest shave with the least amount of pressure on the sensitive skin.

 

For a long time I had a problem finding a local shop that would wax men "down there" . In the last few months a new location opened up that offer the same services to men as they do for women.
As soon as I found out about this new spot. I made a appointment, For a Buttocks waxing. I also explained once there that I was looking to get my perineal area waxed also . I was scheduled for a medical procedure . And I was not looking forward to have that area shaved. And have to deal with stubble as I was healing.
The tech was happy to wax that area for me also. To make it easier for her ( and me ) I was holding my sack and penis up out of the way . The Tech thought that from my fingers down I wanted the hair removed. So a good portion of my scrotum got covered in wax . So basically the only way to get it off is to pull the wax off along with the hair. Lets just say it was more uncomfortable they the rest of the waxing that was done. But I was also told that the next time it would not be as painful as the first time. Because the hair will be new growth and softer. I have a second appointment in a few days. If it is not that bad this time, I just might ask for a little more hair removal to finish the area. And being a newbe more or less to waxing I am not sure what category that would fall under on their price list. Or even how they classify it. I guess that I will find out.

Update.
I had my waxing appointment. The Tech. said that asking for a buttocks waxing was okay. And they had no issues doing the area between my legs. I was surprised that pain wise it really did not hurt as I thought it would. Also my medical procedure went well. All tests came back
negative . Which is a very good thing .

On the plus side of getting waxed the hair growing back is much softer and there is no discomfort with it growing back. I also found that I kind of like the feel of being smooth back there. And 6 weeks later went back for a another session. And will do so again in a few more weeks. I am also thinking of maybe getting "cleaned up a little in the front " when I make my next appointment

 

I know that shaving has become "In", but it' not something that I would do.
