I think I will, indeed, introduce myself

I'm new to the hip forums, well actually I'm new to ALL forums as this would be my first. I used to use BBS systems back before AOL and the web so I'm sure I'll figure this out.
Hello, my name is James, you killed my father, prepare to.... wait that wasn't me. I'm not even the man in black. but I look like him. Wait again, maybe I should start over.
My name IS James. I am a 28 year old techno-hippie (don't know if that term has been used, but I essentially consider me a technology loving hippie) who at the time resides in WA state just above the Oregon line in Vancouver. I am an artist who is growing more and more tired of the world as it is becoming, and trying hard to find another way. This search led me to you and I'm sure this little community will develop my interest in escaping the plastic to find the natural once again.
I am currently re-routing my life and reducing my dependency on those things excessive. It's hard to go through this change as I've always been stuck in it. Always feeling there has to be a better way while those authorative figures try to tell me I'm crazy to think else.
I'm sure some of you will be able to teach and guide me and especially if you live near me, can unite with me to expand a real community instead of get lost with the others in thier dimonds.
