I am like most, can't afford to buy designer labels- but I do like certain brands- so I shop clearance. I am not too much into thrift stores- or they smell...They really creep me out. But, I do love clearance and shop there most often. U get what U pay for...Unless it's clearance and that is when one really saves on clothes that have never been worn and still new but less than regular price. I HATE Louis Vuitton as well-there bags are pretty damn predictable. But I do enjoy Calvin Klein, BCBG and BeBe a great deal!
I wear lots of things. I am a freak about designer jeans-the brand silver-I can't wear anythingelse these days. They fit me the best & I wear my jeans hard & get more than my moeny's worth. I try not to put labels across my chest though. For t-shirts I love shirts with really funny, quirky or odd sayings on them. I love apron tops! I love sarongs! Shoes I'm not too picky with the brands either. I do get some deals from time to time, but never like I read on here. People say they pay less than $20-30 for all their shoes, jeans, shirts whatever. I can understand shirts but, not the other 2. I try to buy clothes I really love, which can be on clearance but not all the time. I love some handmade unique things like my purse I wear for example. My purse is leather & tree resin. It's molded over a form, it takes 5 wks to make 1 purse. My tax return bought me that last year. It also has a huge fire agate stone on the closure. It's really unique & something I'll have forever.(Here's the site-look under viola bags-www.bagladies.biz-it was also on 50% off sale when i bought it) I try to buy a few key bold pieces & some plain clothes so the pieces dress them up. I also make alot of clothes when I have time. I make apron tops, panel skirts, panel pants, reconstructed jean skirts, working on a halter dress & a sarong/apron top for summer. I do love some designer brands though- Calvin Klein, BCBG, BeBe, Kenneth Cole. I also love Mark Jacobs. Plus my fave store is Urban Outfitters.
Whatever I think is cute and comfy (and the price is right) is exactly what I buy. I'm more cute & price concious than brand concious. Theres very few brands that make me excited..and if a brand does make me excited its b/c i bought one shirt from that brand once upon time & I've had it for like 5 years and it still looks new! But thats extremly rare. In conclusion you could say that I'm a sales rack, TJ MAX, Thrift Store type of a girl. I'm very picky....but I still find some good stuff. Like the time I found an American Eagle brown corduroy jacket with that tags still on it for $4.00 at the Thrift store, now how could anyone turn that down!?
I could care less... I will spend decent money on shoes and thats it.. (i destroy cheap shoes) But aside from that i dont care.. my favorite label is My label.. cloths i make for myself...
i never cared what i weared as long as i was comfy... i spent most of high school in sweat pants..hoodies and slippers ... i don't like a lot of money on clothes... every now and then i'll splurge.. but b/c i like it.. not b/c of what label it has on it...
i make a lot of my own clothes, some women love them, others hate them. it is mostly girls who wear 100 pounds of makeup and spend 3 hours on their hair that have a problem with them... i don't pay them much attn. I like making my own clothes, only designer labels i have are some old gap jeans my sis gave me and some union bay cords from thrift shops.....
I have never cared. I hate paying more than 20 for any 1 item. I wear what is cheap and looks cute. labels mean nothing to me. I hate that girls look at the label on my clothes and say "who's that?" with a turned up nose. Like I look any worse because I didn't spend 100 bucks on a $5 piece of fabric. What really gets me is how much women spend on handbags. rediculous
sigh marc jacobs is a fucking god do you have a saks outlet near by? they have a alot of his stuff really unbelievably cheap.
i do like prada and betsey johnson... i am label conscious, but i shop at payless too. they have the cutest dancing shoes
i dont care about labels at all. i buy things if i see it and i like it, and im very picky but not with labels. the only thing is that there are some labels which i think are really cheap and nasty and i wouldnt wear their stuff on principle
I'm with hippychickmommy to an extent. I usually shop Goodwill, and other thrift stores, but I go in there specifically looking for Calvin Klien jeans because I know that they fit me perfectly and my body shape isn't easy to fit. I have long legs and a long torso plus a large chest, so finding clothes usually ends up with me crying. I figure why not skip the drama and get what I know works every time. As far as other types of clothes, I get the cheapest thing that looks the best on me. I shope where ever there is a sale and don't buy anything that isn't marked down, because in a week it will be. I do take pride in how I look and want to look confident and be comfortable. But I can't afford designer brands and even if I could there is no way in hell I'd waste money on $700 bras. I'm not stupid. Plus the styles I like don't exactly come in "designer" brands. My one indulgence per every 2 years is a nice Coach bag. I get them because they are very high quality, and a decent price for what you get. Plus they have a lifetime warrenty. I just sent one of my bags back for repair, and they replaced it because they couldn't fix it. They rock. That is what I call a good company that stands by thier products.
Almost all of my clothes come from thrift stores or outlet stores. I also make quite a bit of my clothing. I just love it when my snobby boss gushes over something I am wearing and I can tell her that it came from Goodwill
i have a fetish for designer jeans but other than that i wear hippy sandals and vintage t shirts from goodwill or somewhere- but i do find that women will judge you or categorize you on what you wear- you know that whole one up look some of them give you? i despise it
