Any of you guys got any tips to get sweet tie-dye results? I made my first one Sunday, I've bought them before, but there's no fun in that! Anyway, on this one I made I have white left, I know you're suppose to have some but it's like whoa! I mean it looks great and everything, I loves it but.. I want some tips to get some better results! Thanks in advance! :]

    Peace and Love! <3

    just let it happen....
    lemme check your technique:-
    tie up shirt/whatever
put dye in bucket with salt added to help it stick
put garment in bucket, get it all covered and leave
take out, untie, wash and iron

All right, I did all that, but with the dye process, I used empty mustard bottles to squirt the dye in different sections. If I do it your way, the whole shirt will be white and another color, using your method how can you get many colors?

dip different parts into different dyes. they have to be left to soak for quite a while

All right, you know that swirl pattern some shirts have, how do you do that? That's what I did with mine, and I can see the swirl but like I said that's mucho white in it.

to get less white on it, do the same thing but with thinner string - the white only stays where the dye can't get to

Okay with this one, I took a point in the shirt and started spinning, so the shirts was spiraled, then I took rubber bands and wrapped them around the spiral and then did some random weird things to the sleeve and neck then ended up with lots of white-ness ;-; why? what did I do wrong?
