How cunning I thought; you evoke passion from under my veil of pain, gaining swift and calculative entry through the window of my soul. You sense my weakness and expose me, unravelling the complex web that traps my emotional wreckage. Yes! I consumed your caring words, digesting them greedily, syllable for syllable until I wanted to choke and scream; 'Hold me, love me, give me joy!'. Instead, I looked away shutting off your voice... How cunning I thought to have recognized your name; Co-dependant.
great technique and images, although the "window of my soul" line came as a little too cliche in a poem otherwise filled with wonderful images/allusions. But my favorite thing about this was the beautiful psychological subject... great great stuff, pulled off brilliantly. thanks for this one!
