I'm so sorry Kathy, I really hope you gain your strength back....don't worry about us,we'll still be here when you are up and about ....of course being on our best behavior
If you've got tubes in your side to drain out the air in your chest cavity and re-inflate your lung, you're not supposed to get out of bed at all !!!
Yepper! For today’s X-ray, they are bringing the machine to me. I swear, I’ll glow in the dark by the time they are done with me.
Nah, x-rays don't do that, but radio-active isotopes do -- I've had a couple of those !!! Kathy darlin' - now you#re feeling a little better and are well on the mend, I still say BRANDY for medicinal purposes !!!
As an ex-ICU nurse, I thought, as I used to do with some patients, I'd drop by your room to see how things are going today. I also, had pneumonia with CHF (congestive heart failure) about four years ago. I remember saying to the nurses, "I'll be glad when......I can finish a......whole sentence in......one breath." Carry on, Kath. --- Patrick
I sure hope you are rallying and feeling better today! Happy thoughts are on the way from my brain to yours!
No real change. My lung hasn’t re-inflated. They want to send me to the city for surgery to repair the lung, but there’s no transportation. They are keeping me in ICU to monitor my vital signs. Still stable at this time.
I am so very sorry to read that. I will keep you in my prayes always. Hopefully transport will be available soon.
Thanks, everyone. The good vibes helped. I got transported to Halifax, and have been swabbed, poked, prodded and Xrayed. So I am where I need to be.
