What are the chances of you getting into a coffee shop if you are 16 but perhaps look older. Where can you buy smoke from thats not a coffee shop and where are the best places to smoke outside a coffee shop?

They are very stricy about no-one under the age of 18 being in the coffeeshop, they could lose their liscense if someone under age was even on the premises, so my advice would be if your going over with someone who is old enough let them get what you want and go to Vondel Park and smoke there!

Thanks for your reply, but I won't be able to go with someone over 18. Is there any other easy way of obtaining smoke apart from the coffee shops?

There are a few threads about that here already so you might wanna check them out for tips and ideas..

But basically.. hook up with people (tourist) who are 18+ and ask them to buy for you.. don't buy it off shady dealers on the streets though!

Note that the coffeeshops risks being closed down by the authorities if the cops catch someone <18 in there!

No there is not. Don't buy things in the streets, they are all fake.
    I am sorry...
    Have fun anyway.

    best of luck.
if its a good fake passport it should be ok.
in the campsite i was staying at in amsterdam they kept my passport (security measure) and so i found it quite difficult to get to stay in Barneys without my passport, even though i had a million other ID's. but because i was from Galway in Ireland, the same town as the owner. they let me stay.
god i rambled on a bit there.
but most of the places i went to i never got asked for ID except for barneys and the dreadlock cafe. and im only 19 so its not like i look ancient.
good luck, have a good time and DONT buy drugs on the street, they are not really drugs! maybe get someone who is 18 to buy you some. i would!

Never leave your passport with anyone except to have it
photocopied. He had no right to keep it, btw.

yeah that is the case in uk and usa, but in europe they do have the right to keep your passport if you owe them rent.
i had a little conflict over that, but my employer in holland told me that he was very much within his rights. apparently a passport is not as big a commodity over there!
