Sorry, I don't know of a website that has ringtones for free, but that frog comment made me laugh out lound. I hate that fucking thing with a passion too.
I'll let you into a little secret. There are LOADS of sites where you can download free polyphonic ringtones, but they're not what you expect them to be. Most polyphonic ringtones are based on general MIDI. Anywhere you can download free MIDI sequences, you're in effect downloading a file that most phones can interpret as polyphonic ringtones. Find a MIDI sequence you want and point your phone's wap/gprs browser at the link and save the file to your phone. It won't work for all MIDI files because a lot of them include controls that a phone might not recognise, and the phone might get confused and refuse to play it at all. Also, a lot of MIDI files will have been sequenced without phones in mind so it'll be too polyphonic for the phone and you'll get dropouts, or perhaps the phone will even refuse to play it. But essentially you've got access to masses and masses of ringtones out there, and since they're free you can keep trying, and the only costs will be the wap/gprs charges for downloading the tones. I used to have earn a fair bit of money making polyphonic ringtones. All I did was listen to audio files of the tracks in question and transcribe them as midi sequences then send them off and get paid per tone. Originally I had assumed that some process had to be applied to compile the files to be recogniseable by phones, but I soon realised that most phones that play polyphonic ringtones will play bog standard midi files and thus i imported a lot of my own ringtones by hosting them then downloading them to the phone. Actually if you have a means of sending files from your computer to your phone you won't even need to download via wap/gprs, just get them onto your computer first. Also, and I'm REALLY giving the game away here - but real audio sounds - which i think some phones use as ringtones are just mp3s. So if you have any 30 second or whatever mp3 clips you'd like to use you can store those on your phone just as easily. By the way - that annoying frog thing, I don't know what you are talking about, but it reminded me of some stupid animation where this gecko sings "I can see clearly now.." in a high pitched voice. I was linked to that a few years ago and had to react!
