yeah... so i got busted on Tuesday. Some girls on my cheerleading squad (shut up, I dont wanna hear the jokes) found out that I skipped practice once and got high instead. They told the coaches, and when the coaches asked for proof, they gave them my online diary address. The school got a hold of it, and now I'm suspended from sports for the rest of the year, and I have to talk to the disciplinarian everyday. Since I didn't admit to doing anything on school grounds or during school hours, they can't do anything more to me. Still, I'm really pissed off, because who are they to a) read my personal thoughts and feelings and then punish me for them? b) punish me for something that wasn't involved with my school work at all? GRR! does anyone know if it's even legal for them to punish me when the only evidence they have is from my own diary? or since it was on the internet, does that count? i am so mad and i really wanna do something.
maybe u have something with the internet thing, as for the school though i think they would be able to punish you for skipping cheerleading
too late to lie... i was too shocked and pissed off to come up with any good excuses. and besides, i'm pretty sure denying it would only find me at the doctors office, peeing into a cup. and that's never good!
fuck it, drop out, get a job, get your GED...you can get a GED in like half the time, and you know what they say Good Enough Diploma
Stand up for yourself. They cannot invade your privacy like that! That's just like going into your backpack and reading a personal journal. I don't care what your dairy says you do, no one has the right to read it. I was a cheerleader/ stoner too and it was hard. cheering is fun, but those girls can be bitches!! Don't take this lying down. If they don't drug screen for sports, and they didn't read that you smoked on grounds or during school hours, they can't do anything. Do your parents know you smoke? Will they back you up? Seriously, I would fight this to the end. Never be disrespecful, but speak up for your right of privacy.
If it's an online journal, like a blog, then yes they do have a right to read it, just like everyone else in the whole world. I think it's not too smart to put illegal stuff about yourself online, I know a lot of people here talk about smoking pot and everything, well of course we mostly use nicknames anyways but it's still a risk. If you're gonna get into major trouble for it, don't tell the world! Now that I agree with completely, I don't think a school should be able to punish students for anything they do in their own time and outside school grounds. As far as I've seen, all the school should be able to bust freebird for is one missed cheerleading practice. The rest is not their concern, or at least it shouldn't be!
You never admitted to anything and odds are you go to a publics school. Create a rukus and sue them. They will definately let you back on the team.
sue them and then buy pot with the money. also, take that shit off your live journal. NOW. edit it though, and dont mention anything about the school. blame it on one of the narc cheerleaders...
