    Hi all,
Well I was there and it was a searingly unforgettable climb up the mountain and some totally astonishing times wandering around the meadows afterwards. I never attended another rainbow event but I will certainly never forget that one! I don't recall seeing a single camera but there was a fellow named Nathan who did hike up an 8mm. I stumbled across his site the other day and he and his wife Shelli recently completed a digitalization of the old 8mm footage, plus some color slides taken at the event by a fellow Shelli figures is dead. I was looking at the outtakes and recognized my brother hiking by and was on the phone placing my order within the day. The site is here; http://www.woodstockmuseum.com/1st_rainbow.html and Shelli said something about them entering it in a film festival this year. Best of luck Shelli and Nathan!

    Hazy,
I got the DVD the other day and yeah... it does catch something of the spirit of the whole thing. I made it to NM about '73 I think and what a wild scene was down there! DId you ever make it to Jemez Springs?

    Ojai,
Well I am a pretty conventional guy and the hugging and drugging kind of put me off (now my brother was in hog heaven!) but still... there was definitely something there for everyone. Like what I found up there was a soul blasting inspiration that transformed my whole view of things. Thank YOU rainbow people!
Still hopping around up in the Tundra (for now).
