Shouldn't it have clotted?

Dude, this morning I literally tore my leg up with my razor >shaving my legs< I dunno what the heck was up, but I cut myself 7 times >bigger than knics, but less than gashes< One of the cuts is a definente gash though. It took LOTS of skin with it. So, I applied pressure and such, then put a GIANORMOUS band-aid on it, and was ready for the day >I was in a hurry and had no time for further aid<.

It stings horribly when I walk, and I can't squat down because the gash is on my upper calf, right below the back of my knee cap. About 12 hours later, I took the band-aid off and it was still pouring blood out like a fountain. Shouldn't it have clotted by now? I would dab it with a wet cloth, and before I could even blink, a pool of blood had already formed. I also noticed that the blood is rather thin.

You may wish to have it checked out.

In the mean time if you anything like polysporin use it. Clean it with peroxide, if not use soap on a clean cloth. You can also dust flour over it and it will help by giving the blood a bonding agent. If you do this leave the flour on for at least a day before you wash it off as you do not want to disturb the clot.

If you have acute pain you should see a doctor for this.

thats fucked up. One time I was shaving and I heard something that scared me and I took a huge strip of skin off with my razor. Never gonna do that again. Havent cut myself since then.

BUt keep pressure on it until it does stop, and then clean it out with peroxide and put anti biotic ointment on it with a band aid. If it hasnt stopped and wont stop you might need to go to the hosiptal cause thats fucked up.

Nah, I havn't taken one of those in a while >I hate to be dependent on medicine< Perhaps my blood is naturally thin? But this is abnormally thin. It's like red water, for real. Should I let it air out? Will that make the clotting process quicker and more efficient?

id give it a little bit.. do the flour thing and then get medical attention for sure, if it's not clotting.

W00t w00t, just to let you guys know, it finally stopped bleeding >14 hours later< bUt it looks rather nasty. I'm afraid if I move it around too much it'll start bleeding again, cuz the skin will stretch. agh~!
