and i say, that's absolute crap. you don't understand movies, which is understandable given the amount of crap hollywood unloads on us every year. and let me inform you friend, nowhere except in the US is it thought that Hollywood makes the best movies. the same kid of bias exists in India for our Bollywood. both are deplorable. it's obvious that organised big-business studio systems and primarily commercial enterprises like Hollywood and Bollywood can't churn out serious movies and that ppl like Chaplin and Hitchcock and Orson Welles came out of the Hollywood system is not because of the system but in spite of it. everybody knows that serious cinema exists only as fringe business in the US. i'm sorry, but that is so. even US film schools will accept what i'm saying and you better get enlightened fast.

Umm, I'm always useless when trying to think of movies so I'll try to think of some favourites:

    Fight Club
    Being JOhn Malcovich
    L'appartment - French
    Picnic at Hanging Rock
All about my mother - Spanish
    Delicatessan- French and hilariously strange
    Antonia's Line - a dutch/belgian movie
    Amélie - French
The dark mirror - for suspense and mood
    The Deer Hunter

As these are just movies which popped into my head or which I've seen and enjoyed recently, I'm sure that I've left out a lot of my real favourites!
